Hello! Long time lurker, first time posting.

I've been reading lots of posts here in regards to 2016 Tacoma transmission fluid being low. Although, it doesn't happen consistently, I do experience rough shift from R-D even with my foot pressing the brake (complete stop) before shifting. In addition, when in a stop and go traffic, I could hear a clunk (not often) when it downshifts. I am suspecting low transmission fluid.

I want to have tranny fluid check. Before I do so, I want to bring it to a dealership that has already serviced this type of issues.

If you are in LA/OC area and you have your transmission fluid checked or serviced, please tell me the name of dealership. I would like to take mine there also.

    Thank you.

Just curious, is it 2wd or 4wd and does your VIN start with a 3 or a 5?

Yep, I get the same clunk in stop and go traffic sometimes as well. I went to Toyota of Redlands. I figured going here would be better because they are a smaller Toyota dealership. Not big like Longo, Crown, etc. They told me I would have to pay for them to have them check the fluid and flush the transmission. Basically the service guy had no idea what I was talking about when I told him about the potential low transmission fluid issue in the 2016's. He just said "with this 6 speed auto, you're gonna feel the truck shift more often". When my 10k services comes (which will be very soon), I will go to another dealer and try to get them to check it.
