Hey guys. I'm relatively new to the forum, but my rig is pretty "moderate" trail ready with my new sliders installed.

I happen to have planned a trip with my girl and another couple in his Taco for this weekend up in Big Bear. We're going to be getting in late tonight, probably to Horse Springs Campground? I usually head south of the border, but I've never been camping in the area and would love to meet up and get some advice from you seasoned locals! If anyone has a better campsite to approach tonight in the dark, I'm all ears! We'd like to be remote, and secluded if possible. We both have in-bed sleeping arrangements, so tent sites are not necessary.

We were going to try to take the Coxey Truck Trail (if we can find it, and if we can handle it) to the Deep Creek Hot Springs. My buddy's truck is stock so we'd probably just drive mine if the trail is too gnarly. Again, any recommendations for activities or directions would be much appreciated.

 

Just picked up burgers, brats, dogs, chips and beer for BBQ. Got ketchup...muttsturd( brown and Yellow,) cheese and buns for all of it. Should be able to feed at least 12 with what I got. If there is anything else you require for this feast.....bring it!
