By tips do you mean you'll do it for me? My concern is just messing up the tach and not having any working lights. Probably be more comfortable doing it on a spare...may just have to keep an eye out for one

 

wouldnt be the first time I do a swap while in Vegas...

If you've done some soldering before chances are you should be fine doing the swap.
What color scheme are you looking to do?

 

I'd like to do all white with green needles

just lookin for a quick answer or point me to the right thread...my lights on the left side of the ac control panel went out...maybe time to upgrade to leds anyway? where do i find the right size and maybe a "how to" EDIT** Read OP as I should have from the start...disregard

 

Goin off that thread tho, its more of a custom job...obviously it wont be easy to change out the lights if I want leds. Any experience with ac control lights gone bad and just doing a simple replacement?

 

if its just the light that went out, just go to toyota and buy a new bulb...theyre like $9 tho

idk if they sell leds ones tho havent really checked.

When you pull the stock bulbs out of the back of speedometer do you have to melt the existing solder, remove the bulb, then attach the led with the existing solder or just completely re-do it?

 

Melt the solder, remove the led, then resolder on the new led on.

Correct me if Im wrong Rodger.

 

yes and no...melt, remove led, clean, then reapply solder on one pad, add led and heat that one side then let it cool then add solder to the other pad and done
