    hey guys, just wanted to give more props to the manufacturer of my roof top tent - Tepui Tents in Santa Cruz

    some of you on the Mojave run may have seen the damage caused by the ladder bouncing up and down, smacking the tent frame (imagine a collapsible ladder smacking an aluminum skin over and over while driving a trail - big channel dents) well I sent photos to Evan at Tepui asking his advice for repairing the skin.

    I got a response the next day that apparently they too had recently discovered this issue for their customers that go on "rough trails" (I think it would happen over too many speedbumps, but whatever). They have since improved the design to include a ladder strap among other things and the completed design is due in a few weeks.

    Evan offered to replace my tent for a new one. No charge.

    This is just one example of the great things Evan and Tepui will do for their customers to ensure a reputation for great quality products. I read a few examples of this generosity before purchasing Tepui but it really is amazing to experience first hand.

    For those of you in the market for roof top tents I highly recommend this local California company.

    Hey guys, I'm thinking about selling my Demello rock sliders. I'm posting about it here first to give all my fellow SoCal Tacomas boys and girls the first chance at them before I post them on the buy/sell thread.

    They are bolt on for 05+ double cab short bed. Just recently powdercoated them black (textured) and they only have a couple nicks on one from poor handling on my part. They come with all hardware, although I'd suggest ordering/buying some new hardware as the current set is a bit wore out/corroded.

    Asking $425

    This photo was taken after I first got them. I'll take some more tomorrow for anyone interested.

    Sure did. Took them to powder 1 and they sandblasted them before powdercoating them. The hardware and backplates still have a little rust though.
