    I bet your assumption is right. If they were bottoming out hard enough to hit the ubolts on the frame without any bump, the inverted shackle wasn't supposed to go that far.

    I would def take the front bumper to Calmini if it hasn't been trimmed or cut at all, and you have the aluminum crush piece too. they should give a couple hundred for the combo.
