SoCal to Norcal Trails?

Hi SoCal'ers,

I'm driving to SD and back for work and I was curious if there are any backroads that are scenic and fun on the way back.

I've driven down the 5 way too many times, and 1 plenty of times, but I want to try something new this time.

I've heard of Carrizo Plain, so what else is out there? I'd like something coastal if possible, but really anything to make the drive a little more entertaining.

Miller jeep trail is right next Gorman. There is also rowher flats.

 

miller jeep trail I've never done that one but I would do it in a heart beat if I lived closer!

 

Fun trail need some skids and sliders.
