    There was a 4.7L and a 4.8L spec V8. I forget which had which engine. 4Runner or Tundra or vice-versa ect. Theyre about the same.

    Even though the 1GR, has a little more power. Having the extra two cylinders just leaves a few more options open for performance expansion. A V8 is also better harmonically balanced than a V6.

    You're right there was a 4.6L and a 4.7L. I was a tenth off. The 4.8L is a Lexus power plant.
