Not much going on with the truck. Busy with school and other hobbies.

Did my 30k maintenance on the truck, and tomorrow I'm getting OVTuned to hopefully improve the driving abilities of this truck. There are a few things I'd like to do over the course of the next few years (slimline bumper, hc rear, 12" shock relocation + hangars, etc.) and those will all come with time.

    Here’s a picture though!

You’ll love the tune with the 5.29’s. Completely changes the truck and makes it enjoyable to drive. Just hold off on your opinion of it until after the ~500 mile learning process it has to do. It can be kind of jerky with throttle and shifts at first.

Wow it’s Black Friday. What should I buy for the truck?

Front bumper, rear bumper, shock relocation kit, hammer hangars, brake lines...AHH!

    Trying my best to avoid spending a lot on this truck, but the want is real (;

I saw the ads, but I wouldn’t buy new. If I were to switch, I’d pick up an older Tundra so I can put more money towards investments!

There was one 6.5’ bed extended cab in Cav Blue that was being sold by Vroom or another online dealer; it was beautiful and I was very tempted.

After buying my 3rd gen I contemplated whether or not I should have gotten a 1st gen extended cab Tundra. V8 and nearly the same size as a 3rd gen Tacoma for much cheaper. Could have a fully built truck with how much my 3rd gen cost me. Literally the only thing that wins me over for the 3rd gen Tacoma is the interior features.

I’m too small for a modern full size. I feel like a 10 year old in one.

I too feel pretty small in the modern size Tundras.

Looks like I'm keeping my truck for a little longer than anticipated though since I ordered a rear bumper! If the truck does well snow camping this winter, I couldn't think of anything else I'd want to build within the price budget and in months time.

But if someone wants to buy my truck so I can buy this, DM me :D

This combo is the only one I’d let my truck go for

Got a new surfboard! Custom 9’5”. Took it out the next day and it’s an odd change from my old board. My last log I kept for 4 years; one of my favorite boards I’ll have ever had. Anyways, the rails are much sharper on the new board with enables more noseriding capabilities as the hard rails dig into the wave; however, the turning now has become harder to perform. Even drop knee is still a struggle for me. The noseriding performance though? Oh my god, it’s insane. My first session and I had the longest hang 10 I’ve ever had at blackies, a spot I have surfed for 8 years now. Nevertheless, I am stoked to have a new board and will make fin adjustments in the box to dial it in.

Edit: Surfed today. Figured board out. Freakin killer turning board.

3 finals done, all A’s on em. One more left for my accounting class, which I have a borderline 89.32% in. Really killed it this semester with my performance in both work and school. I’m going to ramp up the Youtube channel a bit this next semester too for more income. Some of the videos do really well, and all the money goes back into the channel. Everytime I make enough, I take a trip and it covers my expenses.

Ordered a Bruteforce Fab HC rear, but future plans made me switch the bumper order to front instead! Billy said it’ll be done pretty soon actually; now to find a winch and 700lb coils!

Cool thread buddy. I like the travels, customizations and write-ups.

Have you ever figured out a shower setup? I tried a few of those soft pedal bag ones and could never get any decent pressure out of them. Unless things on earth get really weird, I’ll keep on using gravity fed ones from up high. I just bungee it on and let the sun do the work while I’m driving.

    Cheers!

I love the Kendas. After 20k miles they have become louder, but not unbearable. Hard to tell with how much wind noise I have.

Handled every condition I’ve thrown at it the same or better than all my previous tires (minus the KO2; those tires sucked).

I would buy another set, but maybe the 35x12.50x17 from Walmart. They run for under $200 on rollback I believe.

Love your build! Just out of curiosity, why would you go to a 12.5" wide tire the next time?

I love the 10.5s! Recording a video today on them after 20k miles

New wheels! I ordered 35x12.50x17 tires. I am not sure if I want to switch to them; the -25 offset on the new wheels would make the 35x12.50’s poke a good bit.
