    Update. Made smart moves.

I have the BAMF Relocation Kit and the 14” Short Body Bilsteins. The reason I chose these parts is because I could not find the King 2.5x12 in stock, or anywhere with a reasonable lead time.

I then, somehow, got “intel” on a secret stock on them.

Unfortunately the BAMF Kit and 2.5s don’t pair well together. It comes down to 1/8” tolerances at full droop. Honestly, I’m not installing them, so I’m not worrying about it - but the internet and a few people convinced me to just go with Archive stuff.

So the rear will be getting the Archive Relocation Kit, as well as some King 2.5x12’s.

Anyone want some 7100s and a pre-welded BAMF kit? :D

Pics of truck without bumper and extended brake lines to be installed soon.

How do you like your Vagabond Drifter? I saw your truck up for sale on Craigslist a bit ago and this had me rethinking getting a Drifter / Super Pacific cap.

Oh my god it’s going to be so sick!!!! So sticking with the rear bumper and just adding a swing out to it? Did I get that right?

Oh got my sticker to. Bro love it and wish I could support more. Love your trucks and how you keep us all in the loop with them. Lastly I dig the new blue board/rack pads! Spent a lot of time down there surfing years ago. Unfortunately I am paralyzed now from a moto accident but only live in Yucaipa so I still come down to the beach often.

Keep it coming! This build is turning out so damn good!

I love it. It is my safe space. Not a single regret buying it and I would do it over again in a heartbeat

Yes just adding a swingout! Sorry to hear about that moto accident - glad you’re still with us. Moto is no joke.

You’re still super close! I think the beach is energizing and I spend a ton of time by it!

Swingout has been added to the truck. I really need to take better photos to update the thread. I mean I am a photographer lol.

Thank you to @GHOST SHIP for adding the swingout and doing all the work! So happy. He used the 4x Innovations spindle & latch assembly. I’ll save myself from butchering all the technical stuff about how it was built, but Sergio has pictures and info on his thread.

Took a trip to Ocotillo Wells. Truck rides pretty dang well, little soft, and the rear fades quickly. Really excited to put on 700lb springs, the rear 2.5x12’s, Hangars + Crosstube, and tune the entire suspension.

Then cut the rear fenders up. Wanted the look and extra clearance since I’d touch on full bump. Will look full once there’s the 2.5s in there.

Then took another trip to Flagstaff to snowboard.

Also am working on rebuilding the interior panels to move away from the carpet. I’ll be doing darker “natural” stain on the red oak that shows grain - I’m blind and picked a very odd color, lol.

Finished the interior up for now. I have new panels being made in exchange for the sliding panels. Kinda butchered those since I cut them at 9pm last night...

Put the blue panel in to see just for giggles, but ultimately will keep those out.

I’m fixing the bow on the panels, and going to see if I can save them by shimming the back to increase sliding resistance. It holds the boxes in place while offroding. I have a few ideas, the easiest being a few layers of electrical tape on the bottom and top where it slides in the track. Theres also some up-down play, but it’s insignificant.

Tinted the truck! 5% rear, 25% suicide, 35% front, 70% windshield.

Waiting for front bumper... somewhat impatiently. The cut looks like garbáge-o from this angle

Sanded down the countertop and used some heavy clear to keep it from cracking again.
