Has anyone here been listening to all of the reports from Sochi. Apparently the housing facilities are still under construction; Those already there are being warned about washing their faces because the water is harmful; the facilities are unclean; and the coup-de-gras the threat of violence and terrorism... Sounds like the place to be !?!?!

    Go Olympics!!

Watched our first figure skater not to so well. Freaking Shaun white has busted himself twice already in practice tweaking his ankle and wrist and pulled out of slope style.

Japan's figure skater kicked major ass.

All I have been able to watch with school and work.

A little of this and a little of that.

    Agreed! ^^^^^^^

The opening ceremony was interesting. The "floor" of the stadium being manipulated into different surfaces with projectors was impressive.

Agreed. The politics should not be the focus of the games.

And the commentators are so damn negative! I was watching a little bit of the skating and snowboarding the other night and the commentators were bringing up all of these negative facts and statistics about the athletes - even the US ones! I get that they're just given a bio on each athlete that they're supposed to read from but at least try to put a positive spin on things, don't just keep pointing out their mistakes, flaws and injuries! :annoyed:
