Seeing how I never seem to get installs like this correct. What would be some recommendations to get them smooth?

There are instructions that help with placement...I'm trying to find a good video that talks about wet installs to post here.

wet install for sure. Im looking for a good vid on youtube to explain it.

    I paused it at 1:40.

Did he really just spray windex on his paint?

So anywho... and real videos or advice on how to apply the hood stripes? I thought I remembered seeing something in Sock's thread(s) but I can't seem to find it.

Like I said, dont try that at home. I just wanted to show that if it shows up a little wrinkled dont freak out :)

Here is a good install video..... To make the application solution use 1 QT of water to 3 drops of Dawn or baby shampoo in a spray bottle.

    here is another video below....
just watch more videos and practice it dry without pealing the back to get an idea of how you are going to work it.

    PM sent...

Here is another video that shows the center hinge / wet method... do whatever you are more comfortable with. I HIGHLY recommend running thru the process a few times without peeling the backing of the decal off so you know how its going to play out.

Now here's a really stupid question (I'm known for them):

The hood decal is going to come on one sheet like those in the video or five individual ones?

Addendum to that stupid question: If it's one sheet will it be easy to line up with that body line on the hood (as seen on Konaborne's truck in post 1)?

Another question... just wash the truck with auto soap and water, as usual?

My clear coat is in desperate need of a clay barring... will the little imperfections in the clear coat mess with the decals?

Alright... now to go further into the depths of my stupidity.

After I clay bar I always wax. Will a fresh coat of wax mess with the decal application?

No. I wax before I apply mine. Especially if I remove an old decal with a solvent
