The instructions show the hood of a 01-04 which has different lines/contours than my 98-00.

Look nice man. How much of a pain was the install for the first time? I assume from your other post, you measured to the ascual decal and not the edge of the paper.

    Pretty simple straight forward.

I have about 7 tiny little bubbles under the decal in total. No biggie IMO, you can hardly notice it unless you're really looking for them.

And yes I lined up the actual decal to the lines I wanted, not the edge of the paper.

Nice job! If those are just bubbles and not debris, they will shrink down over time.

    They are just bubbles.

Although you can see the paint chips and hail damage under them as well.

I washed, clay barred and waxed the hood before applying the vinyl.

Looks good man! The bubbles will disappear in the next few weeks as the sun hits it don't worry. So was the install process easier/harder than you thought ?

    Much easier.

The toughest part was lining it up how I wanted it.

Got my retro hood stripe installed today. They look awesome!! The hardest part was lining them up. Decided to set them in a little from the line of the hood. Thanks Conor.

    One side done...
I May have got the back ends up too high; maybe that's how they're supposed to be. They don't fit the curve of the flare very well going straight out.

Yep, they are. I didn't want a gap between the flare and the vinyl. That's the outcome.
