Like the title says, does anyone run these? If so has anyone used them yet? I'm just looking for feedback on how you like them. They are on the $$ side, but if your like me when stuck... You would pay any amount to get out. I'm looking into adding more options to my recovery bag and this looks like something that might help one day.

If you have any pictures or info please share.

I used mine with my bubba rope pulling out stuck buddies and they work great. Never used them winching yet but I'd think they'd work great for that too

Edit: I have the bubba rope shackles

Definitely high quality stuff. Also the kinetic recovery rope they sell work flawlessly as well. All I needed was a cape and my buddies woulda thought I was a superhero (they weren't familiar with this type of recovery gear hahaha)

I bought some @SoutheastOverland 1/2 inch soft shackles this past weekend. I fortunately didn't get stuck so I haven't used them other than to play with them. They seem to be very useful and easier to attach than the metal shackles.

I have a factor 55 prolink on my winch line and the 1/2 shackles are a tight fit to get through, but they do go through.

haha Very cool...Yeah I have a shit load of D-Ring style but they are limited, the soft shackle seems like it can be used in many different locations for recovery. Also the weight factor in the gear bag!!

Thanks Martin, Yeah we don't usually get stuck when we have all the recovery gear:rofl:I think the tires know when we forgot our bag:annoyed: I bought the Factor 55 prolink to go on my synthetic rope, seems like a killer combo.

I haven't used them myself but seen them being used. It's quicker to hook up, lighter, doesn't sink in the mud/water.

I bought a couple Bubba Rope soft shackles at the suggestion of a friend ( @stairgod ). We used them a couple of times last wheeling trip. I love them. I tightened the D-rings up on my bumpers with a wrench. Not planning to take them off again anytime soon.

Heck yeah man, thanks for sharing! I ordered two of the Bubbarope soft shackles:thumbsup: I ordered some D-ring isolators...I'm going to torque them down and leave on also. Not sure how long the isolators will last, but under $10 its worth a try.

I made five or six soft shackles a few years ago that I still use. They work great for most situations but you have to be careful to avoid sharp edges. You can also lose about 20% of the rated line strength at the knot. I recommend going up a size or two from what your winch line is. Also, depending on the knot used, you'll get some creep after the first couple of pulls as it tightens up and the knot sets. I don't usually trim the tail short til after I've used it. I'm not sure if the commercially available ones are stressed to set the knot.
