    Hello!

I am looking into soft top shells for camping purposes. Are soft top shells good for camping in all weather conditions, rain, wind, and so on? And which ones are the best bang for your buck? If anyone knows or has another thread for me, please let me know!
    Thanks!

I just received my new Softopper 2 days ago. Gonna install this weekend probably. I haven't used it yet so can't give you first hand feedback but I bought it based on lots of good reviews.

Where did you get it from? I might just order it too based off of what I have read.

Purchased directly from Softopper in Boulder Co. I also got the extra rear door with mesh screen as well as the rear tent add-on

I have a 6ft bed. Do you think getting the tent add on is still work it? Maybe just to make the bed longer for sleeping.

I have an access cab so I have the 6” bed. Being 5’8” I can fit in the bed. Got my soft topper around March and I love mine. It’s easy to sleep back there, it’s comfortable, I feel more secure and it’s it’s done a good job keeping rain and wind out of the bed.

I knew what I wanted so maybe I’m biased. But after building a sleeping platform and installing always hot accessory plugs for me it’s been perfect.

The only down side is that the bed becomes a dust magnet so when you go wheeling a lot of dust accumulates in there, but I don’t mind and it’s easy enough to power wash once I get back home

Not sure if "work it " was a typo and you meant worth it. But yeah, it's hard to say for sure. It's a couple.hundred bucks extra for the tent thing and for what you get, it would almost not be worth it to me if I had a 6 ft bed that I could lay down in. I pulled the trigger cause my beds only 5 feet so I would have a hard time having enough room to lay down comfortably. I thought about fashioning something myself to add to the end of my topper but in the end I just decided that my time was worth more.
