I'll be ordering a softtopper this weekend. Nearby fella buying my tonneau. Not concerned with quality issues from only positive reviews from research I've seen. If there were I'm sure they'd make it right. Maybe op your not familiar with soft tops..?

    Thanks! Love my spruce :bananadance:

For primer I used Rustoleum self etching primer. Did one coat, lightly sanded it and did another. The black is just Rustoleum semi-gloss black. The frame has so many angles it took quite a few touch ups but worth it IMO. I found it easier to paint it assembled instead of each piece individually. Put it on a big piece of cardboard so I could pull it into the garage in case it was going to rain.

It is a great color! I might be a bit green with envy.

    Nice work on the frame.

I got the best top 2 i like it, got is used on marketplace m, guy said it was about 6-7 months old but also has a tear on the rear window panel but he was able to get a replacement from best top
only thing is if they made it at least 2-4” longer to better fit the length of the bed. Have a pretty wide gap between the cab and the topper and barely touched the inside of the tailgate

The quality should be pretty similar since Best top owns SoftTopper.

They are pretty solid, compared to most the aftermarket steps they are very sturdy. I’m 5’5 and 190lbs and they don’t even flex. The steps come in handy and for my mom, grandmother and my kid is a must and they stick out enough to prevent door dings

This is what I did, but I added a strip of clear vinyl to protect the paint. I didn't like the idea of the velcro on the paint, esp when its off the truck for a few weeks at a time.

It feels pretty solid,, it’s lightweight so u can put on by urself and i drove to New York from VA going 90mph on the nj turnpike not a lot of noise, Or flapping and my average mileage was little over 19mpg. Only thing i notice is if u take the window panels on and off a lot the parts that crease start to wear but if u get new I’m sure bestop covers it under warranty. Previous owner had Recieved a second rear window bc his cracked at the bottom and he gave to me still new in box. I kept old one on since i open and close mine a lot to get stuff out. Check out YouTube there’s a couple guys with reviews of the bestop 2 for tacos. Dunno how solid the super toppers are but this feels pretty solid once u put everything together

Put it on! I mentioned earlier that the frame had me concerned at first... that was only because it was so light. The thing is rock solid, I frigging love mine. I have a guy building me a custom rack that will go around it so I can still carry things on top.
