Awesome. Thank you, everyone, who is helping me out on this fix. I am looking for stock coils and shocks right now. Although, I do not know what exactly I am looking for and I wanna make sure that I only have to do this once. If someone, could send me a link to where I can buy stock coils and shocks for my 1999 Tacoma, that would be amazing. I am totally not lazy, I just do not really know what I am looking for or at. Thanks

I could be wrong but removing the body lift shouldn't affect the stiffness, or the suspension.
I'm guessing the stiffness is likely due to lack of down travel on the shocks - either because your shocks are already bottomed out or your springs are pre-loaded too high, or have too high spring rate. Large E load rated tires will be stiff too. If it were me, I'd go back to stock coils/struts and run a slightly smaller P rated tire.

^^^ That is true, just take the bolt from the body lift and go the hardware store and find a shorter length one that matches, and any help you need feel free to post back in this thread

There's no bushings on the body lift so not having rubber in between there definitely makes it stiff.
Just FYI OP there are no bushings for the beds body lift, so don't fret when you can't find any it just bolts down

Agreed, much more cost effective solution. Find a hardware store with the full Hillman inventory. or a Fastenal.
    or order from mcmastercarr.com

You're looking for stock springs and shocks for a 96-04 5lug Tacoma. You can keep the fabtech control arms on there.

Okay, so you are suggesting to leave the body kit and just get stock coils and struts? and of course a smaller tire.

I second the Bilstein, though they may be outside of your budget.

I'd remove the body kit too for sure. but in this case I don't think it's the root cause of your stiffness issue.
Honestly the rear looks fine to me, I'd swap out all 4 shocks while your at it though.

Okay. To recap, the shocks and struts seem to be my main issue, so I would replace those first before removing the body lift? And my rear suspension is brand new.

Yes, but I suggest removing the body lift, they are actually quite dangerous at that height

yea the 4600 will ride very nice.
As for coils.. might need to do a little research on on the base model tacoma coils and find something comparable. I believe the TRD 6 lugs came with a 490 lbs/in spring rate so your base model I'm guessing is less than this 300-350? would need to verify

Thank you so much for that website. Definitely gonna order those. As of right now, I am only concerned with the front as that is the stiffest area compared to the rear. So, at this point, I will be removing the body mount and installing front shocks, coils, and struts???? just clarifying
