    Definitely agree.
Would verify the U bolts are fully threaded through those nuts - since now the distance has increased. Want at least a few threads showing

    Okay, time to chime in....

Body lifts will NOT make the suspension harsh or softer.. It's all in your suspension. It does contribute to moving the COG ( center of gravity ) higher; and if you combine that with worn bushings, springs, and struts - it does magnify the feeling of your suspension...

just start replacing what looks rotted and old with new and it'll be come better....

You're right the suspension won't be harsh because of it, but it makes the body stiff which in turn makes everything else in the cab stiff, giving that same feeling the op is trying to get rid of

Our trucks cabs are bushing mounted and when you remove those it definitely makes everything inside the cab feel stiff because there's no bushing to absorb anything.

    Arn't all tacomas bushing mounted????

On my old second gen, I replaced the stock rubber bushing with ES Polys and did NOT feel any differences except for a piece of mind.....

Well to each their own, it is proven many times it increases the stiffness of the cab, across all vehicles

Hello again. Quick question, but when buying a coil for my suspension, and then also buying Bilstein shocks, I know I am going to need a tool to put them together. So is there any new coil and shocks set that is already put together that you guys can recommend me?

Your truck does not use a shock and coil combo (called a strut or coilover)

Your truck uses a shock that is mounted inside of where the coil sits, the two are completely separate and must be installed separately. The only thing that keeps the coil in there is the fact that it's sitting in the upper and lower bucket.

That fabtech coil and UCA is part of a 6” kit they discontinued. That coil and UCA give 3” lift, but a spindle gives the other 3”.

From what I have read, the UCAs were prone to bending, so they do not make them anymore. However, they still sell just the spindle. (~$300-400)

I’m betting the coil is not sitting right because you don’t have the ‘right’ spindle. It mounts the lower ball joint in a different way than the stock spindle.

Taking apart the suspension to get to the coil spring, cake. Getting the spring back in is a bitch and a half.

I would suggest getting this spindle and dropping the body lift. That way won’t need new tires just yet... and you won’t have to mess with the spring either haha

How has nobody paged @Sperrunner in here yet? He probably knows these 5 lug suspensions better than most on here. But that spring is whacked no doubt.

    Its the company truck
If you remove the body lift the largest tire you can have us 28”

There is a fee lift options but not much. No way to soften the rear other then some better shocks. Up front you can soften a v6 5lug by swapping 4cyl coils in. Ut you will lower the truck a little.
