I'm contemplating a Softopper but my taco came with the factory tonneau cover. Anyone had experience with the two and compatibility?

I realize you can't use both together, but since the tonneau has some cutouts on the bed rail and attachment points I wasn't sure if the Softopper install would interfere at all.

    None.
I bought an Extang Encore because I thought it was better than the factory because it opens from the front so I can access my mountain bike gear etc. Now I have a Softopper too because they're AWESOME and perfect for the summer. I plan to run the softopper in the summer and the hard cover in the winter. GO WITH BOTH!

Yeah, the factory cover isn't anything special but it came with the truck. I plan to use the tonneau cover most of the time but when camping I'll toss on the Softopper for the extra volume.

So you don't see any conflicts with the mounting hardware from one interfering with the other?

I have both and that is exactly how I use them. No issues at all.

You can set where clamps will attach to your rails in your bed, with in reason. I'm not sure about the cover as I have no experience with it.
