    yea the softopper rails are connected to aluminum angle with bolts. Then the aluminum angle is attached to the bed rails with struts, scissor mechanism, and four small latch clamps.

    The only challenge is setting up the gas strut without the weight you have push it in yourself to click it on to the mounts of the bed rail and the aluminum angle.
