i love my softopper but they missed a stitch on a part of velcro that will fail eventually. I have tried to email and call them multiple times but no one gets back to you...very frustrating

Having owned both, I prefer soft topper for the ease of use.

The bestop sides are a real pain in the ass to put on, and take two people sometimes. Being able to see through the sides while driving is nice, but having to take them off to access the side of the bed blows

Now the soft topper, while I can’t see through the sides of mine, is much easier to access the bed. I love the snap rings, and most of the time they are easy to slap on.

If you just need to do a quick reach-in, you can flip the sides of the bestop up with just the zippers and bottom edge opened up. Doesn't stay up as reliably as the supertop sides when rolled and tied, but it'll usually do for just loading/unloading.

I agree those side windows are a PITA to put back on once they're removed though. I actually drove home with the topper folded down one time rather than try to re-assemble it in the dark.

I had a softtopper, but not being able to see out the sides was an issue. the bestop supertop 2 with those roll-up sides looks so legit. idk if it can keep up with the hot looks of the softtopper though

I hope you do get yours that quick. I ordered mine on October 23rd and got a FedEx tracking number the next day. The delivery day came and went. I still haven’t gotten mine. It is supposedly shipping next week according to the rep that I spoke with. They have been waiting on aluminum to complete the frames and have a backlog of orders. Fingers crossed you do get yours that fast but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

I went with the Softopper… I just think it looks a lot better, especially on the regular cab!

I got busted last night by the We Are Watching Your Driving App! My wife was not with me an I was having fun driving home in the Taco. Got pinged with 4-5 hard corners and couple hard accelerations and one hard stop??? Hard stop was going up hill and was a brake & go moment with out stopping that I remembered. Hard corning was 4 S-Curves after the Game coming home sober and just enjoying the way it handles in the curves no skidding. Hard accelerations were just getting 8-10 MPG on the Screen! Seems Taco dose not know what flooring is and hard corners let alone hard braking! The APP showed where I did it to on a map? Now I know why most don't like it on there truck!!! I went from a 100% great driving for 1500 miles to a 73% in 12 miles on a country road with out meeting a single car going up hill most of the way. 15 miles total trip in 18 mins? I thought the phone collected this information but the TACO did I don't carry a cell phone? Only thing good the Insurance Co only uses the phone to track so they did not pickup on it!

Forgot was at the Food Store Sat and a guy came out to head to his truck and was staring at the Taco? Got my first voiced compliment too! He said wow I love your truck and it is the Best Looking one in the Parking Lot! I thanked him and saw him get into a Dodge 2500 Ram Pickup! They sure do turn heads!

I like your set up. My Tacoma is basically a Limousine. Looking very hard at the soft top. Big $$$$$$ for other toppers and long wait times.

I currently have a tonneau and it freezes up in the winter. Nothing more frustrating than driving two hours to fish and not being able to access you gear since the tonneau is frozen shut. How is the soft topper in snow country? I imagine I will have to be careful around the window. I take pretty good care of stuff so I could make it last. Thanks for the input.
