It's a tough choice. Tan offsets a little and I think would look good but black matches everything else. I hate having to decide.

One question, how is the softopper with rain? Does it have to be treated anywhere to be completely waterproof?

Exactly. That was my struggle, which just had me taking the easy choice.

I really like tan but black is kind of the obvious choice.

Take the topper to a sewing club, ask them to make you another one out of olive green :). Sewing clubs are cheaper, and filled with old ladies.

...and wish I knew that the GB would hit 10. It's only $50 off but anything helps.

One last thing, did anyone add the mesh or other options. Is there any real advantage to those extras?

Is what it is. Kind of a big purchase for me but only saving $50 isn't THAT big of a deal. This is coming from a guy that has dumped about 9k into the damn thing this year. ;o(

The actual fabric is completely waterproof. In heavy rain a few drops come in at the corners where the topper meets the bed due to small gaps, but the water just trickles down the bedsides and under the toyota bedmat (the mat is 1/2" in on all sides from the actual bedsides), so my sleeping bag etc never actually get wet.

I hear you. It was enough for me to get pushed over the edge.

Wow. For me, it was a few small things plus OVT and tires. I need to stay off TW!
