    Shot down? Wtf

How can they do that if you complain about surging? Bastards.

I just emailed my service manager and booked an appointment, was pretty easy.

You can use carista, or tech stream, just google it.

Just that they cannot confirm any issues. They won't even acknowledge there's a flash to let me pay for it.

Thats crazy man. It took my service advisor 2 min to find it on his computer. Ill send a photo of the tsb printout they gave me when im done work.

I actually showed him the pdf from TW and he looked at it and said: ya no problem we will do it. It says for auto only but he didnt say anything to me.

Thats the pdf i showed him. Hope this helps, good luck man. Ill get some pics later on.

For MTs, you have choices of TSB-0058-18, TSB-0125-18, and TSB-0013-19. As far as I know for the latest revisions of those TSBs, only that last one still lists MT Tacos. The original revisions of the first two listed MT ECU IDs.

The CUW software posted in this thread came from TSB-0058-18. No one has posted the CUWs from TSB-0125-18 or TSB-0013-19. As the updated ECU IDs are the same (04B13 or 04A71), there is no reason to think that the software would be any different.

Yeah... "it drives just like the other manuals on our lot, opperating as designed, there is no update for the manual only the automatic, our area engineer told us not to flash that calibration into a manual truck, yadda yadda yadda BS."

Sad part about it is, I had a case with corporate, duplicated the concern for two dealership shop foremans, two service managers, and one GM and they still wouldn't do it. They even told corporate that they didn't feel a thing and that's after one of the shop foremen said "does it feel like a misfire? yeah i feel that, that's pretty crazy" and still didn't apply the update.

When this update initially dropped back in July 2018, I borrowed a Tactrix adapter (paying two way shipping and putting up a replacement cost deposit for damage) and flashed my Taco and another TW'er. That TW'er was so happy with the update that he paid me back with LEDs for the interior and license plate lights.

1hr of worry about losing $170.00 versus even thinking about arguing at the dealer? Easy decision.
$15.00 in two way shipping? Saved on the MPG bump in the first couple tanks.

Thats bizzare man, they didnt even drive mine. Mine actually never even surged, i just wanted the latest update done. All i had to do was email the service manager.

I guess just get the carista and do it yourself, fuck them. You could also ask local TW members with carista or TS to flash it for you. Best of luck.

Carista will not flash the ECU. It only provides the current ECU ID. TS (either the old version linked in the OP or the newer one in my signature) will make CUW executable files and flash any Taco. The newer version will allow folks to set dealer only customizations for 2016 through 2019 Tacos, among other things.

I would gladly do it myself, I just did not feel like going out and buying a PC based computer to do it. Haha.

Its looking like I'm going to have to though.

    Oh. That is a problem.

@wahoobie is in Suffolk, VA and put himself on the volunteer list to help with TSB updates? That is kind of a long cruise, but it still probably beats a computer purchase and borrowing a Tactrix.

I forgot that Canadian TSBs are different than US TSBs. Ugh!
