When you install, use a plastic clamp to hold the hood in place when you bolt up the shock to the hood hinge. Otherwise you will have to re-align the hood if the hinge slips out of place.

I'd like to mention that the Amazon seller that is not Sokietech that offers free shipping has been marked for selling counterfeits.
The other seller which is Sokietech that charges $12 shipping gets great seller reviews.

Had to reorder a set. My first only lasted about 3.5 years until one day the hood wouldn’t stay up.

3.5 years for hood struts is not bad?
I know I replaced the tailgate struts on my van once already, and need to do it again.

$20/year is a bit much. My snugtop struts last the better part of a decade and cost less. Is nothing meant to last any longer? Don’t answer that!

Looks like when you hit “buy again” on Amazon they dont ship the same part. Yes, I paid $12 for shipping. IMG_4222.jpg

Note to self in the future:
There are two lengths and the long one goes on passenger side. Notice the hydraulic fluid coloring the shortie above?

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
I have had these on my truck for a few years now and the only thing I have an issue with is the flex of the mounting points on the fender. I wish I could get behind those mounting points to beef up the hardware for less flex.
