Hey, guys I know this is going to be a short thread but I have some questions about solar I can't really find the answers too on here.
    Current setup
    -lensun 110w flexible solar panel
-renogy wanderer 30a (got for 20 bucks going to upgrade to mppt when funds are there, what would you guys suggest?)
This setup is to mainly keep my second battery topped off while im camping to run the fridge and maybe charge things up at camp.

    1. I currently have my solar setup ready to go but I'm waiting on my tent to mount the panel, would it damage anything if I go ahead and wire in the controller to the battery in preparation for the tent so when it gets here I can mount the panel?

    2. What would be the best way to secure the wires onto the tent? I have some black eternabond tape should I just tape them along the bottom side of the tent to hold the wires or is there a better solution?

The idea is a setup like this on the tent

Im very new to solar and have been doing pretty much my own little bits of research to try to educate myself, so the more information you guys can provide would be awesome.

You can wire the controller to the battery it won’t hurt anything perhaps a small parasitic draw showing the volts.
Any reputable mptt will suffice as far as securing the wires to the tent no idea.

Use zip ties and sticky backs (zip tie mounts)

 I’ve got a 80w flexipanel and cheap controller it’s kept my battery topped off just fine running the fridge even on cloudy days.

Like the little squares you can run the zipties through?

Exactly! Maybe put VHB tape on the back to make them even stronger but that way you can remove the cable easily if need be

well i got the controller mounted, its too hot to do any wiring right now. Side note disreguard the mud in the bed im going to better waterproof my access hole to the cab when I run the solar with some of this extra abs plastic and some heavy duty silicone
