Selling a cafer racer built 1993 BMW K1100RS. The bike is ready to ride. Has had the subframe shortened, ABS removed along with all the fairings. I rode it very briefly and it sounds great. Its been sitting in my garage on a tender. Lemme know if you have any questions.

Located in Dallas, TX. Looking for around $3000 from a TW member. I'm flexible on the price so shoot me an offer. 00g0g_dbVbWxgoGsK_1200x900.jpg 20170727_184727_1509463390866.jpg

I have a few more pictures, I'll try to post them below. The tank has been painted white and the M sport logo is vinyl (could use replacing) I'm not sure on the mileage as the original cluster was removed a few years ago when it was being built. Yes both front and rear wheels match.

If you are interested PM me an offer and we can talk. This has been in my garage longer than I would have liked lol. Tacoma needs a lift!

Just FYI the wheels do not match, rear is off R1100rs, front is k1100rs, they are of a different pattern.

Again just FYI if that picture of the red bike was this bike than you have a k1100lt for sale not k1100rs. (also not sure if you saw my first post about wheels)

The wheels are matching and it is a K1100RS. VIN matches the title, which says RS. Unless the title has the wrong model, it's an RS.

So the picture you posted earlier of the red bike was not this bike? Because that red bike is a K1100lt.

Also, the wheels are not matching. Your rear wheel is from an R1100rs Here is a picture of a r1100rs with matching front and rear wheels:

    r1100rs.jpg

Notice the split 5 spokes on front and rear wheels. Whereas your front is a solid 3 spoke proper for the k1100rs.

Here is a picture of a K1100rs I built last year that had the original "matching" wheels:

Edit: Dont mean to derail your thread but I find it important to provide correct information when selling your bike or your buyer may try and hold you liable later on down the road.

The cluster reads 69000 before it was removed. I hear the shaft maintenance takes awhile but is not difficult. Basically the spline shaft from the transmission and the driveshaft need lubing with moly. Other than that I haven't had the bike long enough to change oil or anything like that haha. I have a F800GS that I daily and the maintenance on it is simple, though I haven't had to do a valve clearance check on it yet.

    Bump

For anyone concerned about the mileage, you shouldn't be... I have owned probably more than 15 of these, a few of those had over 100k miles and had 2 had over 200k... The higher mileage ones ran just as well as the ones with 10k miles. The confidence that these will fire right up and run all day without concern is higher than any bike I have owned.

As far as maintenance goes they are as simple as any other motorcycle, valve adjustment made easier than most by the exposed valve covers, the spline lube job is not that bad if your confident with a wrench, and not needed often forget the exact interval but I think it is like every 50k miles or something.
