I’ve come to the realization that it’s time to sell my Taco. I bought her when I was a paramedic and had several days off every week and was remodeling our house. Fast forward a few years and now I’m in grad school and sadly, it keeps me busy 7 days a week. I bought a new Tundra as a daily and initially planned to keep the Taco for fun. My wife even encouraged me to keep it forever so we could keep building it and do some exploring in a few years when we (hopefully) move back out West. But, sweet and supportive as she may be, it pains me to see this truck just sitting in the driveway. So hopefully, this Taco willa make someone else as happy as she’s made me over the past few years.

A little history… In short, I’m the 2nd owner and have known this truck it’s whole life. It is a southern latitude truck (CA, AZ, FL). My childhood best friend bought this truck brand new in 2000 in NY state. I even went with him to the dealer on the day he picked it up! Before long, he loaded it up and moved to Los Angeles. After 3 or 4 years, he moved to AZ (which is where I also lived). Then he moved to Florida. Shortly thereafter, my wife and I moved to Florida as well. Like I said, my best friend from childhood. Long story short, he was going to trade this in on a ’14 Taco and I convinced him to sell it to me instead. Since I bought it from him in April 2014, I’ve made quite a few changes. The paint was faded from the desert, so I painted it in Monstaliner. That is my favorite mod by far!

OK, a bit more about the Taco… This truck is an OK daily driver if you’re the adventurous type. It will never break down on you and leave you stranded, but to be honest it’s loud from the tires and feels like you’re driving an off-roader. I’m getting soft and wanted a more luxurious ride, hence the new Tundra Limited. This truck is not a garage queen. The doorjambs aren’t painted with Monstaliner. The leather has a torn stitch. The steering wheel is wrapped in paracord. The door seal on the driver’s side needs replacing. See where I’m going with this? It’s an awesome truck, and it’s pretty if you’re into this kind of truck. But she’s not a showqueen. If that interests you, then great. I hope you keep her forever!

About the price… I’ve spent a lot of money on this truck. I know I’ll never get it all back, and that’s totally ok with me, but times are tighter now that I’m in grad school, so I can’t just give it away either. Looking at the forums I thought $8500 seemed like a fair price. I’m open to offers if you think otherwise.

Asking $8500. Located in Cape Coral, FL. If you’re from elsewhere, I’d be more than happy to help arrange shipping or a fly-n-drive. Ft Myers (RSW) Int’l Airport is 20 min away. If I can manage to get away for a minute, we’ll take you out in the water to see some dolphins while you’re here

I added a bunch of detail photos and a video (last pic) here for a couple folks: https://goo.gl/photos/9J5k6v9UxcNR84th7 I tried to show all the defects and wear spots and frame as best I could in the driveway. There is some mud on a few of the frame pics so if anyone want to see another view let me know, but there isn't any serious rust. Just send me a PM if you'd like anything more detailed or have any Qs. Thanks!

my apologies for being m.i.a. the last couple months. i had a sale fall through and then life got in the way and i didn't pick up the sale effort again. but the truck is still available and i'd really like to sell it before august. i'll give it another few weeks on here then i'll probably list it locally on CL. thanks, brian

Really like the paint job. Curious how much paint did it take to cover the truck?

    Thx

Order the 2 gallon kit. Uses like 1.75 gallons or so depending on how much you paint.
