SOLD: 2016 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 - Modded

I've never done it but have you hit up any dealers about selling it on consignment?

 

The thought crossed my mind. I have no idea what commissions run in that business, but I'd imagine it wouldn't be worth it. I think I'll be able to sale without going that route but if not, I may look into it further.

 

The onsite financing might help.

 

I was thinking that too. Someone could impulse buy as well if they saw it driving by.

 

You should hit up valley hi. Their website says they only have 1 2016 in stock

 

I may call them and ask what they'd charge. They're always low on Tacoma inventory.

In case my Tacoma starts on fire or gets stolen, I will be booking the next flight to SoCal to buy this.

 

I bet they charge a minimum of 15% for consignment. I thought about doing that to sell my Rubicon, no way I'm paying that much for someone to show it for me.

 

That's what I assumed, which is why I haven't called yet. I sold some high end furniture on consignment once. They charged 30%. It was way better than selling something like that on Craigslist or somewhere similar because I would've never bet the same amount selling that way. Definitely not worth 30% or even 15% on a vehicle though.

I call just out of curiosity and report back.

I've got a buyer committed. His house closes escrow in a couple of weeks and then he's flying down from Northern CA to get it. Still taking back up offers unless it falls through.

 

Might be off topic, but how do you sign off the truck to the buyer once he pays? Assuming it will take a couple weeks for the pink slip to come in the mail?

 

My bank will send him (or his bank) the pink slip when his payment is processed.
