*SOLD* 2016 TRD Retrofit Headlights & Extras

Hi Guys. I'm selling my OEM headlights I retrofitted almost a year ago. I decided to play around with the new Morimoto's so these are up for grabs.

Originally chrome, I opened the headlights up and painted the housings black added Switchback DRL boards, Switchback RGB halos, and tinted the side markers with the TRD logo.The headlights have Profile Prism RGB Switchback halos with a bluetooth controller that you use through an app on your smartphone. You can change the colors of the halos to just about anything your want and change their functions from solid color, fade, color changing fades, and blinking. The halos will also act as a turn signal if you choose to wire them. The OEM DRL has been replaced with upgraded LED switchback boards from Diode Dynamics. The DRL boards will also function as art of the turn signal... Unfortunately when I got a new phone I lost a lot of pictures I had of the truck clean not torn apart with the lights on.

PRICE & SHIPPING: I'm selling these for $575 which includes standard UPS ground shipping to the 48. They are packaged up in the box my Morimoto's shipped in. NOTE: UPS is liable for any damages during transit (unless of course act of God, war, nature, ect.) or mis-deliveries but I will ship and pay the extra for declared value of the sale price. I would recommend shipping to your business address or anywhere that these wont be sitting on your porch for long... the box they'll ship in is pretty big... could be eye candy for someone walking by... you never know these days.

You'll get both headlights with the bluetooth controller and the LED drivers for the halos and DRL boards. Also a couple extras I'll explain below.

For the sake of transparency...

The PASSENGER side light does have a little scratching on the lens next to the side marker. One of the clips I found was broken when I went to remove the headlight. I still have the piece which I'll send (should be and easy fix if you know what you're doing). The housing has a small crack on the back which happened when I originally opened them up about a year ago--I've patched it with epoxy and adhesive silicone. I've never had any issues with water leaking into the light.

The DRIVER side the only thing I know of is the DRL switch back has 2 Amber LEDs that have gone out which you can only see when signaling. Diode Dynamics sent me a new board under warranty but I never installed it since I decided to try the Morimoto's--I'll send you the replacement board so you can swap it out if you decide. They also sent me 2 extra LED drivers which I have no use for so I'll send them to you as well for extras just in case.

Both headlights function properly and I have not had any problems with water leaking or fogging up the lenses. I removed all of the original permaseal (which was a royal PITA) and sealed the headlights with retrorubber from TRS-- I'll also send you what I have left of the retrorubber that way if you decide you want to swap out the DRL board with the 2 amber LEDs that are out you can use that to seal the housing back up.

Also, you'll have to figure the wiring out it has been about a year since I wired everything up so I can't really be of much help there but you can find install instructions for the halos and bluetooth controller on the TRS site and the wiring instructions for the DRL on Diode Dynamics' site... I wouldn't recommend purchasing unless you have a basic understanding of wiring.







This is where the crack in the housing was. Small hairline fracture but I figured more epoxy the better. Haven't had any issues.

Just FYI to anyone who wants to buy this. It's the sellers responsibility to purchase insurance. If they arrive broken you get your money back (assuming you don't do F&F)

No I didn’t touch projectors at all. But now that they’re sealed up with RetoRubber they’re pretty easy to open back up if I ever wanted to go back at swap them out.
