    **Price Drop**

Selling my 2018 Entune JBL headunit. Was swapped out after a month. Thought about holding onto it, but have decided to sell. Unit is mint, no scratches or blemishes.

I see them on eBay for close to $1000, gonna list it there also.

Will let it go here for $500 shipped continental USA.

Would the JBL be a PnP with an Entune Audio Plus?

I'm not totally sure, my guess is probably because its the same footprint, it will definitely fit the dash obviously. I've never seen the back of the entune audio plus to compare connections and wiring scheme.

Noticed that I would need to get the surrounding trim for it to fit into my dash. My TRD Sport came with Entune Plus and is slightly smaller. 6.5in? vs Entune Premium and JBL's 7in.

All the plugs would be the same but you would not have any sound coming through. I tried this before and no so would come through because JBL uses an amplifier. Your entune plus has different voice coil setup inside radio so the voice is so low you can’t hear it

I guess it makes upgrading to the JBL's even more difficult

I just measured, its 5 1/4 inch high, 9 1/4 wide and 10 1/2 diagonal. That's the dimensions of the unit. The screen part is 6-7 inches.

Is it the headunit that is different or the speakers between the models? If Head unit is different than non JBL, what is the difference?

I believe the signal that goes out of the HU needs to go though the JBL amp to work.
Meaning it would not be PnP on non JBL Tacomas

    edit: amo to amp*

Yes I think that's correct, you would need a JBL amp for this to work. Also the speakers are different, but that doesn't matter.
