Ended up selling financed 2021 tacoma ($63k @ 4.4%). Wanted to trade it in for a 2022 highlander but couldn't get approved for financing, couldn't get financing for 2022 rav4 either. this was back in dec 2021

6 months later (about a month ago) got approved but at a rate (3x my financed rate at the time for the truck which made the $35k rav4 almost twice its price!!! lmao

canada drives offered 49k for the truck; told them to beat it; they called back a few weeks later offered 52,400 + 100 giftcard; told them to beat it again, told them it was an insult to be $500 off; it was posted for 53k

no other offers for weeks; emailed canada drive; they told me to beat it and offered 36k

what a fail on my end =( live & learn

posted again for 52k offered 51k to drive it out to AB for the sale..... pondered it (20hr drive & $75 flight back with dingleberry airlines) I am in BC

then another one of these online dealers autocorrect offered $50,500 I jumped on it.

paid out the difference of $121 & closed account. yay no more payments !!

now driving a 2001 Lincoln navigator v8.... perfect

two actual scratches, a repaired windshield chip, lots of pinstriping

about 100km off from 39000km when sold

a 2001 Ford product too! Lol.

he’ll be paying double his car payment in tow bills, repair costs and fuel.

Doesn’t sound like good credit…so maybe this is best until he gets his finances fixed.

if you're having trouble getting a vehicle loan, driving an old paid for vehicle is probably where you should be to get right. With today's crazy fuel prices a V8 is not ideal, but I am sure options were limited.

yeah 63k is correct; just under that. 47k msrp; its about 54k after taxes & dealer fees/crap; +6/8 month wait from what some of the buyers who were contemplating to keep waiting for their orders were saying

I made the mistake of getting the ceramic coating done on delivery and had got warranty up to 120km +couple additional services covered over the standard up to 36km?

all good thank god these things hold value & demand was high; I managed to put on almost 39k and we ripped thru the bush with no regards for pin stripping it brand new; so we did enjoy it =)

credit was good then fair and now poor.......

the navigator; what can I say. I am 2nd owner & have all receipts including bill of purchase; yeah gas is brutal as expected, air suspension needs to be swapped.

feels like I drive a tank; seems to go everywhere the truck went so far. I do need new tires & wipers.

but hey ...... no payments :rasta:
