18-19% loss. The Toyota drivetrains have a larger amount of parasitic loss over other brands for some reason. They are just not as efficient.

If you go all out effort, open up the intake and exhaust, slap a 2.8- 2.7 pulley, do cam gears, and get it HPTuned (basically everything minus water/ meth injection) expect anywhere from 300-320 WHP realistically speaking.

With all the mods I have on mine I make 305 WHP/ 328 WTQ. OE power levels are about 188-191 WHP for the 4.0 V6. As of current I sit at a 114-117 WHP over OE. Which is a lot more than the 70 HP you were thinking, and it pulls real nice. Be aware that these are the exact same power figures the 3rd gen Magnuson HeartBeat blower makes on the 2GR at the wheels. So you would be right in the same arena as they would be powerwise.

If you want to know my exact mods, go hit up my build thread page to get a better idea of what you should expect as far as mods go if you want to hit the power levels I posted.

TRD blowers are like unicorns, but the Magnuson blowers are easy to find which are the exact same thing minus the fancy TRD stamping on them.

I may be mistaken, but Toyota will no longer perform the required TRD S/C ECU flash.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
That's not a problem. URD and HP tune are even better than Toyota tune.

Of course! This was a quick night pull with the 2.8, which I had dyno'ed and hit the 305 with. The 2.7 puts me right at the very edge of the blowers efficiency while not getting it hotter than it needs to be without water/ meth injection.

    https://youtu.be/MxFbqUHXaxM

HP tuners still requires the base Toyota TRD tune in order to work on the OE PCM.

Just go buy a Magnuson one. I think they are literally like 1K cheaper than the TRD blowers.

It sounds and pulls better today though. Maybe I can get a better video for you guys sometime.
