I assume its the FIRST clip from the bottom?

 

I’m fairly certain they were set at the third from the bottom. However it’s been a couple years since I set them.

Looking at the picture I took, they are set at the second clip. I was mistaken.

 

Would these be too stiff to run without a front bumper?

 

I don't think they would be. Especially if you ran them at the first clip setting. I ran mine with an aluminum bumper which weighed 40 pounds for quite a while and it felt great.

 

Debating these as an option to get rid of my rough country lift.

 

I'd say go for it, but I'm a little biased. haha

 

Are you going to a different lift?

 

I replaced these with ADS coilovers.

 

Im running the same coils and shocks set at the 1st clip. Gave about 2" of lift.
I have no real bumper, just an avid offroad front lightbar.

Truck rides smooth, honestly i think its smoother than the stock setup. 06 offroad

Can you get a 3 inch lift out of it without it being stiff you think?

 

Stiff is a relative term here. I found them to be optimal between stiffness and a comfortable ride even with the minimal weight I had at first. If you have a stock bumper, you should definitely get the lift height you want with their current setting.
