I have a transfer case off an automatic 4Runner limited 01-02 I think was the year and need it gone because it's taking up room in the garage so I'll let it go cheap.

'01 SR5 4Runner. Thunder Cloud. Manual swapped. AWD. Manual hubs. 315's.
That's an '01/02 case. Same as '99/00 Limited, but has the push button for the center diff lock. '99/00 Limited don't have the actuator on the back of the case, and have a thread-on shift knob.
    GLWS
I put one behind an R150F with a '03/04 Tacoma ECU and love having the manual and AWD
Someone has to want an AWD 1st gen!

Came off an A340E transmission imported from Japan with about 60k miles. Selling because I bought the transmission for a 4WD swap for my tacoma but the transfer case was different so I bought a different transfer case to replace this one. I'll let it go cheap because it's taking up space and I'm going to have to worry about where to put my old transmission until I sell it since it's being swapped out as we speak

    Transmission with TC installed still:

A340E? Isn't that an Automatic 2WD transmission? Same one I have on my PreRunner 2.7l.

    It is, same here.

    Probably meant a340f/aisin 3040le. :notsure:

Edit: My bad, you can still use the A340e, just have to swap out the input shaft. This awd unit might not work though.

But I don't get the pic of the 2 mated above???

I thought all transfer cases would match up to any tranny? I could me totally wrong, but I thought like if you got the ADD transfer you'd just need a add front dif I didn't know the transmission had to be set up to take a transfer case? im thinking way to hard about this I'm like fuck Toyota paid for that many different castings in transmissions

Sorry for the confusion, I keep forgetting if the F or the E is the 4x4 model. I just posted the pic of the transmission and transfer case still together just to show what transmission it came off of so people know for sure. the transmission came off a V6 4Runner and is currently on my V6 tacoma. This transfer case is different than most, it is a j shift but has an AWD mode which requires electrical work and the case itself is like an extra 2" long so it won't fit under tacomas without mods

And you don't need an ADD transfer case for an ADD diff, my front diff has the ADD system permanently engaged in 4WD but I have manual hubs so you can just disengage the hubs and I have a normal j shift transfer case with no ADD

Yep on the pending sale. I'm sure it will be a pain to work out, but I promise a write up if it works.

If you make an AWD/4WD taco using a 4runner t-case with a writeup, I'll father your kids.
