Thanks! yeah sometimes wish it had a bit more HP, but honestly my biggest thing is just one extra gear would be perfect. Highway cruising would be awesome just to get the RPMs down a hair more if it was a 6-speed manual. But the truck is light good torque, especially in 4-low. It tows fairly well, but the 4-cyl keeps you from overloading the poor things up anyways. Do like how it gets the same gas mileage no matter what, either spot on what the sticker says, or I'm a hair better. Probably wasn't the best idea to run E-Rated mud terrains on the last set of tires though.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Few updates. Picked up a set of CBI sliders, CB radio and few other stuff from my buddy that was selling his taco and was finally able to wrap up the rear end with extended brake lines. Next weekend is gonna be a mod weekend for sure!
And also going to start retro fitting a military trailer for an expedition trailer

Updates: Well the truck ticked over 113k miles today :woot:. Daily Driving it certainly sucks but can't do anything about that till next summer hopefully. CBI Sliders are all cleaned up and painted now, just need to get them onto the truck. Got my brand new Catalytic Converter thanks to a Toyota Recall. course now I'm starting at this rusted up muffler from 6 years of North East winters, so that might have to get swapped out soon. Leaning towards a Magnaflow, if anyone has a recommendation for a muffler on a 4-banger that doesn't sound dumb please let me know.

Bout it for now. Hold on spending till after the new year, but sneaked in a new CB mount for the rear thanks to the BAMF thanksgiving sale. So just need to wire up the CB and I'll finally have some comms.

So was coming home from Chicago yesterday. Stopped to fill the truck up and was doing my usual walk around making sure everything looked ok. Noticed a fuck ton of grease in the passenger wheel well... Well knew I just took out a CV boot. Ended up cracking right on the axle clamp on the inner boot. Duct tape and zip ties for the win to keep it together for the 200 miles back home. Got lucky Oreily Auto had one in stuck which prompted a 8pm wrench fest to get it in before work...

So was going to do a full right up and stuff but truck put up a fight and ended up hurting my back wrestling with everything. I'll probably get a write up tomorrow, just no pictures. Here's the old axle with the rest stop cob job

Thanks! Two Layers of Duct Tape and 6 zip ties kept it all together

Hopeful plan for the weekend is to finally get the sliders on.

If anyone is interested in the stainless steel steps let me know, they will be FREE... yes free steps once I get them off. Reason for them being free is because even though they are stainless steel there are a few rust spots (manufacture won't warranty since I live in areas where they put salt on the road) and there are a few dents on the underside of them, only noticeable if you are underneath looking up. Will come with everything. Ann Arbor Michigan area or if you are willing to wait a few weeks I can bring them to the Albany New York area (western MA)

Finally got the CBI Offroad sliders on over the weekend, metal shavings got everywhere! But love how they came out, and the Mrs likes them a lot better then the old steps so win win! As well as mounted the BAMF CB mount off the tailgate. Just need to get a longer Antenna cord and can wire up the CB

Will do. I picked up an Add a Circuit pigtail so going to use that for power. Still trying to figure out where to mount the CB, thinking the back side of the arm rest right now.

Have you installed the BAMF mount yet? Curious how the reception is when mounted back there.
