Yeah, I really would like to go actual offroading, not just dirt and mud roads. Maybe I'll make it to the next Flagpole or GWNF meet.

I need some skids though...which means I need new coilovers and UCA's...which means I need a leaf pack...which means I need more money...

    OTRATTW LIGHTBAR ROCKER

Finally got my Blitzpro wired up in the cab with a OTRATTW switch. Amber upper, green lower lit when lightbar is on. Thanks to High-Tech Auto in Chantilly for the work.

Thanks Bob! I originally told High Tech that my first choice for switch location was under the A/C vent on the right side of the center dash, but they said it was too tight and the switch wouldn't really work there after pulling that panel out today, and so they mounted it in my 2nd choice. (center console) I'm really happy with it.

They also left enough room for me to add other switches to the right of the current in case I add more. Will probably need winch or other switches in the future anyway.

You'll be fine with the 885x coils adding skids.

I dunno...I'm sitting at about 2'' of lift in the front (I've pulled up next to stock Tacoma's and I'm barely higher than them) and the skid I want is 55lbs. The bumper dropped me about 0.5''-0.75'', so I bet something half the weight of my bumper would drop me another 0.25''-0.5'' or so. I could get the 1/2'' top plate spacers if I wanted to gain something back though. Just a matter of buying the skid and the spacers.

you dropped 1/2" just from the bumper? How heavy are those coils? My single hoop weighed in at 105# IIRC and my eibachs barely noticed it :notsure: I cant remember off the top of my head but i think the eibachs are 620# springs.

It was a significant drop, I know that. My 3-Hoop is around 115# I think, from what I saw from the shipping paper. The 885's are 590# coils, (same as 884's) but 10mm longer. Maybe that 30# difference is enough?

I just already have pretty serious rake and I don't want to make it anymore.

What material is your bumper sprayed with? I've never seen one that shines like that. Or maybe is it just the lighting?

Some daytime pictures of the new switch. The switch lights still show up pretty well in daylight.

FWIW id def upgrade to 886 front coils instead of a top plate spacer, or both...

886's are not recommended to run with 5100's, plus they are $160, vs $60 for the top plate spacers. However, I might be happier with 886's. I can't make up my mind.

I'm upgrading to Icon 2.5's with 700# King Coils in like 2-3 years though.

Thanks! I'm not going to take credit for it though...my local shop did the install. They did a great job and I think it looks almost factory.

Put in the order for the Toytec Top Plate Spacer Kit and All-Pro 3/16'' IFS Skid for my birthday last night. Really happy to finally be getting a real skidplate instead of the stock crap and the TPS kit will help a little with the sag from both my bumper and skidplate.

Washed, clayed, waxed, and interior detailed yesterday while I was at the firehouse. Took about 4 hours but the results were well worth it. My paint was feeling really rough so the clay was definitely needed, and the wax was also due.

I'm also thinking about dumping my exhaust after the axle soon. I think the tip looks goofy by itself hanging out, and it's also beneficial for a little bit of extra clearance.
