I hope so...the stock ones are pretty much hard as a rock, so anything is better than those pieces of junk.

    WHEEL AND GRILLE CHANGES

I ended up taking the derp off my center caps today to take my wheels back to stock completely. I like the look a little better because my wheel doesn't just blend in with the tire now.

I also sanded down and painted my grille letters white to re-create the old-school Toyota emblem look. I actually am really liking it more than the colormatched I had before. Also moved the lightbar back down its original position while I was working with the grille.

Random picture while out doing stuff. Still getting used to the new wheel look.

Thanks Peter! She's getting there...one slow, small, grueling step at a time...

    STEERING WHEEL EMBLEM

Added the TRD steering wheel emblem today. Simple modification but I actually really like how it looks.

Just put in the order the for the ATO skidplate set. (IFS/Trans/T-Case) Going to be removing the AP IFS and selling in within a week or two; hopefully will be getting my exhuast reroute done soon as well.

I'm interested to see how well my 885X's take the weight of these skids. All 3 skids together weigh about 155lbs, so my front end will probably sag a good bit once I put them on. It might give me an excuse to start buying my new suspension sooner rather than later. :D

    SHIMMED REAR SUPERBUMPS

Removed the Toyota grille emblem again...I liked the white but I think it was a little too much, and I really like a clean look now a days.

Also added some 1/4'' spacers for my rear SuperBumps to keep them from hitting my U-bolts at compression. Huge thanks to Airdog for hooking me up with these. I don't want to cut the bolts because I plan on getting the AP Expo's within a year so it would be pointless to cut them now.

Got my AP IFS skid off and put on the very beefy ATO IFS skid today. I think I'm going to hold off on putting my transmission and T-case skid on for now because I'm not sure my 885's can handle that much weight. Once I get the 700# Icon's they will be going on.

Also put a heat wrap on my new exhaust reroute around the transfer case. It was $40, but I think the peace of mind is very worth it, especially considering it is preventing a potentially very expensive problem.

    Thanks la0d0g!

I had a bit of a scare driving to the firehouse after I put on the heat wrap when I smelled something burning...drove about halfway there, pulled over and made sure my truck wasn't on fire, then continued to the firehouse until I could look at it more in depth. My suspicions were correct and I figured out some Velcro strips on the edges of the wrap were melting. I put on some gloves and scraped the rest of the Velcro off, so hopefully it will be ok now.

Yeah I'm not too worried about it now but it was a little weird sitting at a stoplight thinking, "man, someone's car is smoking or something" then realizing it was probably mine LOL.

Hi bud! Looks like you've been modding without me haha. I've just gotten my phone, been at basic training and AIT since 30 April. Ironic because my drill sergeant and my company commander both have Tacomas, reminding me how much I've missed my own haha I haven't driven in so long I'm afraid ill crash. How's life been my man?

Oh shit  Yep, been slowly getting more stuff...How was basic/AIT? My brother is at CTLT now (coming home tomorrow actually) after LDAC, getting ready to go into his MS4 year in ROTC. Life's been good, just been at the firehouse and such, getting ready to go back to school and start work in about two weeks.

Thanks for serving this great nation! :oldglory:

 No, it certainly is not...

Painting my transmission skid now, and going to mock up my T-case skid here in a little bit to get a notch cut out for clearance around the exhaust at the back of the skid. I may actually just put on my transmission skid now, I don't think another 30# is really going to affect my coils.
