Looks like the OEM spare tire hole will not work with the swingout on my Pelfrey after Tyler posted a picture for me so I will have to figure something else out. I think the best bet would be some type of license plate frame bracket. I think I could fab something out of those aluminum strips they sell at HD and screw it into the top of my license plate using the screws already there.

I'm probably just going to hold off until after I get my Pelfrey so I don't waste time on something that won't work.

Gotta ditch the OEM spare if getting a swing out though right?

I just mean that the OEM hole for lowering the spare will not work for mounting the camera because there will not be a big enough gap between the swingout and the top of the bumper. (see Tyler's picture below)

I have a full size spare (used General Grabber HTS) on my current spare, and will be buying another TX Pro wheel when my 265's wear out and I put on the set of 255 KM2's I already own.

Copy copy...I also went ahead and purchased the ARB tree protector strap last night too.

I also have some questions on recovering passenger cars and such if I were to help people out when it gets snowy around here. How are you attaching the load? Wrap strap around front/rear frame? Or what would be the safest and most effective method for cars without normal recovery points?

As much of an ass as this sounds... Move along, not worth the liability in today's society. But I have attached a 6' tree strap to the frame or crossmember with a shackle. Then attach my strap or line from there.

he is right. BUT if you are willing to take the risk, 33 vehicles I pulled out when we had the 18" snow. Just use your head and leave a wide birth. Make sure they have their windows down and follow ALL your verbal commands. If they are not receptive. Unhook and leave.

I would learn how to self recover before I would risk helping others.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am a little wary of helping random strangers in today's lawsuit happy society but I would like to be able to do it if it was a real emergency.

I just do what I feel is right. I stop to help stranded motorists. Offer whatever I can and just ask them to pay it foreword.

I was able to get 10% off so it's all good. I think I want to put the lift on before I get the bumper so I'm not trying to do all that in one day if Skygear graciously helps me again.

Should have everything for the lift in maybe two weeks, and the Pelfrey in late April to early May hopefully. I can also finally install the rest of my skids if I get the lift on earlier.

Thanks John I'll let you know when Skygear can help me out. I could also host a mod day at my house if the NoVa guys had other stuff to put on their trucks around the time I'm putting on my suspension.

Also got my ARB tree protector strap in today.

Got my Bel Ray uniball spray from SDHQ in preparation for my TC UCA's and also ordered the Rotopax self-venting spout to replace the piece of junk "Eco-Spout" they are required to sell in the US for fuel cans.

I tried to test pouring out some gas this morning with the Eco Spout and it was a huge pain in the ass just to get gas flowing, so I just wanted a normal spout that doesn't take rocket science to get to work.
