    :woot:

Finally got my alignment in spec. Clunks, clangs, and rubbing are now gone and my steering wheel is finally centered when driving straight.

    Toe: 0.5*
    Camber: 0.5*
    Caster: 3.1*

Well another wasted $85. I was out running and when I came back I smelled gas and there was a puddle behind my truck. I looked and my Rotopax had cracked on the inner circle where the mount goes through. I think it got bloated from the heat and cracked. I am contacting Rotopax in the morning to see if they can do anything.

Well, the spout stays pointed inside with the cap on if it's being stored, so I don't know how it's supposed to vent like that.

Maybe I'm supposed to take the cap off and let it vent when it gets like that?

But I don't think so, especially when Rotopax says "RotopaX are the highest quality packs on the market and are guaranteed to be leak free. RotopaX feature extra threads, thick walls, and a sure-seal gasket that even prevents your spout from vibrating loose. Remember to always ensure the spout is seated correctly and fastened tightly to be safe"

I'm calling them tomorrow to see what's up.

Rotopax seems like a real stand up company. I called today and told them what happened and they said they would send another 3G out as soon as they could, they didn't even ask for proof of the broken one or for me to send it back.

Yep, I think I may only fill my can 3/4 of the way from now on, or at least let it vent when it is hot out maybe.

I may call Rotopax again and see what they recommend.

    Probably all good ideas...

Sure glad they helped right away, no one wants to have fuel eating things away because of a product that expensive :/

I'm still going to call them, but I just did some researching online and someone said "you must fill the cans up 100% so that there is no air left inside and that this is true of all gas cans."

    :notsure:

I don't follow that....i think a self venting spout that doesn't leak is what you need :/

Where do you have it mounted?

Well, the spout wasn't the problem I think...I had their self venting spout on the can, but the actual pack cracked near the middle and that's where it then leaked. I had it "mounted" in my bed until I get my Pelfrey bumper, where it will be mounted on the tiregate.

I see. I would ask if you think you had it locked down too tight but it doesn't sound like you did. Just sounds like it didn't vent at all. Hell if i know, i ain't never had gas cans that fancy! Lol

New (free) Rotopax shipped and updated arrival of Pelfrey bumper to 5/19/14, so hopefully will be able to paint it next week and also install it either the week of the 19th or 26th.

Fucked up screwing on the mount for the free Rotopax that just came in and it dug into the plastic too much when I was trying to tighten the mount the incorrect way, so had to order yet another one

Pelfrey should be here on tomorrow, hopefully can pick it up Monday or Tuesday. I am looking to paint it Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and maybe install it Thursday/Friday.
