You actually have a much better set up than I!

That axe, It is the greatest axe i've ever owned but i wish i had gotten the splitting head over the regular axe head. But since i have a Stihl MS171 (14" bar), i never use the axe  its just there for the logging roads i used to hunt where you wouldn't want to be using a chainsaw and making a bunch of unesscessary noise.

I'll have to look into it. Have a bunch of other stuff that is wanting me to spend money on though

My uncle had given me a old small (probably 12'' bar) chainsaw that probably hadn't been started in 10 years. The cost of going to a small engine repair shop (I had done everything I could in my knowledge base to get it started) was more than it was worth, so I gave it back and will maybe buy a chainsaw in a couple years.

That fiskars axe is worth the money but they do break if you're over stressing them. (I've broken two, one hatchet an one axe).

When buying a chainsaw, stihl or husqvarna. Nothing else.

Yeah I don't have a real need for an axe or chainsaw now but would be nice to have as I continue starting to camp and stuff.

We use Stihl's for the fire department and they have always been superb through the abuse we can put them through.

Stihl breaks just like everything else but i have weed whackers and chainsaws that are almost as old as me that still start in three pulls and have been absolutely thrashed for years

MOUNTED HI LIFT BASE TO BED EXTENDER

Mounted my Hi-Lift base to my bed extender today with some stainless steel bolts and wingnuts. Seems like an efficient place to put it so that it's not taking up space in the cab.

Also ordered some Quick Fists to try and mount my Mag-Lite to the side of the driver's seat and possibly my folding shovel to the bed rail.

I also ordered a spare tire cover so that my fugly spare is not in full view when I put on the Pelfrey until I get my matching tire/wheel and put the 255's on.

Pelfrey should be here tomorrow, then I will be painting same day and hopefully putting it on either Saturday/Sunday/Monday.

    ^^This.

And I would add a pry bar of a decent length to your tool bag. Good to have as a make shift breaker bar and also makes popping out CVs pretty easy.

I will try out the Quick Fists and get the Mag Lite mounts if I'm not happy.

Good advice with the prybar! That is something I should have.

the mag lite mounts are nice because it keeps it secure and easily slides in and out of the mounts

    We shall see...

Yes, very happy. I'm probably sitting around 1.5''-2'' of lift because of my bumper, winch, and full skids, but I still haven't cranked them up that much. I'm waiting until I put on my Pelfrey to see the kind of stance I will need to keep a nice rake.

Just got back, setting up "paint booth" in the garage and getting my dad to help me unload after we pick up my mom's car from the dealership right now.

    Will post pics soon...
