Got some general "maintenance" stuff done tonight while I had some time.

Cleaned all the trash and general crap out of the bed, took the bed mat out, and washed out the piles of mulch and dirt in the corners of the bed that was reaching critical mass. I also drilled out the drain holes in the front of the bed some to help with draining of crap, which seems to build up easily with the bed mat and tie downs being in the corners of the bed. I then PB blasted the fuck out of the tie-downs, which I could not move at all as they were so seized up.

Finally, I took the bedrail Hi-Lift mounts out as I am selling them so I can put the Hi-Lift up on the BajaRack once that comes in, which will likely be around Thursday or Friday of next week. Already have the ARB snatch block and BajaRack Hi-Lift mounts that I got for my birthday and should have my BajaRack and Pelican 1700NF case by the end of next week.

Also just sent an email to OTRATTW sales about picking up this style of switch to match my lightbar switch in the center console. I'm going to try to get my future Rigid SR-M's in the Pelfrey to be wiring independently of my reverse lights so I can turn them on whenever. It will be wired the same as my lightbar switch (shown below) to where the etched image is lit up amber all the time, and a small clear cutout in the bottom lights up green when the switch is on.

It'll be a few days until i get to it. All the rain caused my window cowl to leak into my blower motor housing and i have to do the TSB to fix that.

And i have a broken cap window to fix.

I was looking through your build and saw where you has mounted the hilift base onto your bed extender.. I was curious how is that holding up?.. I was considering mounting my hilift and base as well as maxtrax off of it.. think it would hold up?

The base is holding up fine, super easy to do.

I'm not sure about having the jack or Maxtrax off of it though. I think it would depend on the hardware and stuff you use because of the weight of the jack.

I know this guy mounted it to his extender, you could try asking him.

And yes, the price for that cowl was quoted from my local dealership....they've been known to gouge like the colorado river when it comes to parts.....

In other news, BajaRack should be on the way from California, and the Pelican 1700NF should be shipping out either Monday or Tuesday.

Itching to finally get all my recovery gear in a nice secure case and not all jumbled up in a crappy toolbox that's bungee corded to my bed extender. :anonymous: Also excited to get the Bajarack on and mount my Hi-Lift to it so I don't have to open the bed cover, climb up into the bed, and haul it out of the mount in the back of the bed, which is kind of a PITA.

BajaRack should be getting here Thursday, and the Pelican case on Friday. I will probably try to install the rack Friday during the day, or on Saturday.

Update - Pelican case should also be here Thursday! :woot:

BAJARACK INSTALL, HI LIFT RELOCATION, PELICAN CASE

    :woot:

Install was fairly straightforward, did everything myself with the exception of a little help from my dad lifting the actual rack onto the mounts. Also mounted the Hi-Lift on the side and put my new Pelican case up top with all my recovery gear. I think I'm going to get some cable locks meant for handguns and put it through the lock points on the Pelican and lock the case itself to the rack.

    Super happy with the result!

You don't see the dark grey and black theme I'm going for?! :(

I'm gonna get a black Bestop eventually if I do end up getting any type of shell/softtop.

    Thanks though buddy! :)
