I was thinking about a black Bestop somewhere down the road. That's a maybe though.

One thing I do have to remember now is how tall the truck is with the rack, Pelican case, and Hi-Lift. At the highest point of the rack, I was sitting at about 6', 6'', and the Pelican/Hi-Lift sit higher than that.

I don't think I will venture anywhere that has clearance bars (like the mall  ) that are 7' and below.

I've got about 3/4'' to 1'' on driver side, then 1/2'' to 3/4'' on the passenger maybe? Driver's side measures higher from fender to hub, but I can't seem to get the passenger side up while keeping the driver's side at the same height for some reason when I adjust? My alignment is perfect and the height difference between sides is not noticeable to the naked eye so I'm just leaving it.

I'm probably only sitting at maybe 2'' of lift in the front though. I have a lot of weight up front.

Pleasantly surprised to find that I have no wind noise with the BajaRack. Got up to 65 and had the same normal noise level that I did before.

I'm also in the process of making my old iPhone into a dashcam with my old UG windshield mount and another mount that I had lying around from my brother. Took off all the miscellaneous apps and turned off all settings and such that I don't need so the only thing I'm using is the dash cam app and one email account to send the videos. Gonna keep it on airplane mode to save battery unless I want to send a video to my email. Did a quick test yesterday though (not on airplane mode) and the battery conserved a lot more than I thought it would. I think I may order a sturdier mount but it works pretty well right now. Downloaded a LITE version of a dash cam app but may buy the $2.99(?) version so that the videos aren't limited to 1 minute and I can use a higher resolution.

I'll probably post up a video once I get it all sorted out.

Interesting. Remember though, having a phone in plain view makes your vehicle a target.

Yes I have thought about that. I may put the phone away when I'm out of the vehicle. If I get this other mount that I'm looking at, it should be easy to mount/dismount the phone.

Ordered up a iStabilizer iPhone windshield mount to use my old iPhone as a dash cam. The mount I was using was too shaky and it didn't allow me to use the phone screen without taking the phone out of the mount, which I would like to be able to do so that I can use the dash cam app controls. Reviews on the iStabilizer say it holds the phone very securely, and it was only $20, so I think it was a good purchase. I am happy however with how well the old iPhone is doing with just a free dash cam app. License plates show up clearly at about 8'-10' from the front of my truck and video quality is pretty darn good. I think I will purchase the $2.99 version of the dash cam app that allows longer videos and a little higher resolution.

Also ordered an 15'' firearm cable lock to secure my Pelican case to my BajaRack. Right now I have a padlock securing the actual Pelican case, but I would like to lock it to the rack so no one runs off with the case and all my recovery gear.

Lastly, I ordered up a OTRATTW switch but had them customize it to match the lightbar rocker switch I already have so that it matches the always on AMBER and the GREEN clear cutout when the lights are on. I got it in preparation for the Rigid SR-M flushmounts I will be putting in the Pelfrey as backup / rear lights in the near future.

It will look like the switch I already have, (below) just with a different etched image.

Relating to the switch, does anyone know if there is a way to wire a SPST switch up so that they turn on when in reverse but also whenever I hit the switch? I don't mind having to hit the switch whenever I'm backing up but I was just curious.

    :)

Also ordered up Maglite mounts for my 2D LED that is sitting in the back storage compartment right now. Gonna try and mount it on the side of the driver's seat like the other guys do.

Took the truck out to a spot in my neighborhood for a little photoshoot with my dad's Canon. I am by no means a photographer but I did the best I could, with a little Photoshop editing as well.

Please let me know if the images show up really huge, I'm still working out using Imgur instead of the TW gallery.
