Just thought of this, my UG wouldn't work with that bracket. I have the UG above the mirror so it isn't as visible in parking lots and such. That and it fell off the bottom left corner of my windsheild and rubbed a mark in my dash so it had to be moved.

I wonder where else the UG could go....i don't want it on my dash anywhere, thats why i bought the suction cup mount....hmm

This is where I have mine:

I re-used a bracket made from member joneill03 that slides under the headliner and screws into the sun visor screw. It was the same piece of pre-drilled metal that places like HD sell. (Shown below)

No problem buddy...I can't remember the specifics of the bracket but I think we attached the UG to the bracket somehow, then slid the bracket underneath the headliner, lining up one of the holes with the sun visor screw and that was it. It's pretty sturdy and I can still put my sun visor down all the way. (although then I can't see my UG )

Scheming some plans to spend the birthday money I got today...

Thinking about getting the Rigid back up lights and TX Pro matching spare wheel I was planning to get. Not sure if I'll mount the 255's when I get the wheel though. Knowing me, I probably will... :anonymous:

Yeah, I think I will have my local shop mount up the 255's and spare wheel soon after I get it, and also have them install the Rigid back up lights and OTRATTW switch at the same time since they did such a great job on wiring up my lightbar and other OTRATTW switch in the center console.

    :(

    Nice...

Skygear did it all for me :anonymous: while I organized the bed of his truck. Wiring is pretty much rocket surgery (yes I said rocket surgery) to me.

    Nice on the maintenance!

Put in the order for the spare TX pro wheel from TRDParts4U and am currently putting in an order for the Rigid SR-M flushmount reverse light kit from member memario1214 (Colton).

Colton runs (TW vendor) Vivid Illiumination and Performance. HUGE shoutout to Colton, who went out of his way to price match a quote I got from another company. Go to Colton for all your lighting needs!

I think I will mount up my 255's soon after I get the spare wheel. :playball:

    :)

Finally got my Pelican case secure in an easy way. I don't know why I didn't do this in the first place.

I originally had two locking tie down straps going the length and width of the pelican case with a whole bunch of extra strap left over holding everything in place.

Took off all of that and put on one ratchet strap going the length of the box. I also cut off the excess ~5' of strap so I don't have to deal with it. Since this strap will be the permanent tie down for the Pelican case and I have 3 other ratchet straps in the truck, I don't feel bad about cutting the strap down. I did the good ol' shake test and I could move the truck without the box moving at all, so I'm happy. I still have the rifle cable lock going through the box and around one of the rack rails to secure the box to the rack for security as well.

Also confirmed my order for the Rigid SR-M FM's from Colton. Should be putting them on as well as the OTRATTW switch soon after I get them (most likely with the help of Skygear since I'm a retarded seal with wiring) as well as mounting up my 255's with the new TX Pro spare wheel on order.

Anyone local interested in (4) 265/75/16 KM2's with approximately 17K miles on them? Plenty of life left, only offroaded once or twice with them. Would be asking around $500 OBO and throwing in a used (probably only 5-10K life left) 265/75/16 General Grabber HTS with steel wheel for free as well if the buyer wants it.

It was just a few small zip ties attaching the metal bracket to the piece that snaps onto the UG. My sun visor for some reason got in the way and wouldn't go all the way to the window thats why I relocated to above the mirror.

    Happy belated bday Matt.

Rigid SR-M FM kit from Vivid Illumination (memario1214) enroute, should be delivered by 7/21 and I'm working on getting a tracking number for the TX Pro spare wheel.

Hopefully will have 255's and Rigid's mounted by the end of the month or around that time!

Anyone know if you can wire lights to come on with reverse lights but also independently? How do you do that if so?
