Tested out the Reese 8'' drop that came in today. I don't tow but hopefully this will work if I ever need to in a pinch. A 10'' drop might be needed though :notsure:

Also tried to epoxy some cracks in my Satoshi, but I'm not sure if they will hold since I couldn't really get in to the spot that they're at well. We'll see tomorrow after it cures.

Simple mod to secure the bed mat today. Drilled through the bed mat and put an extra bolt, large washers, and nylon nut I had laying around through the center drain hole of the bed.

My rear squats so much because of the cap (and old suspension) that i almost have to turn my 2" drop upside down to use the trailer :(

    New leaf packs :)

Also, the epoxy on my Satoshi held miraculously, and the bottom trim piece isn't flimsy and coming apart from the main grill now!

No want to spend the money on leafs when i will end up lifting it 2.5 years from now and them i'll put a bigger set of leafs in to go with the rear shocks

I've been wanting to do stock height 5100s in the rear and 5100s with stock coils set at .85" in the front (to level the truck) and leave the leafs alone.
But that won't happen until spring (most likely)

That's a decent setup; close to what I originally had. Pretty cost friendly too.

You could even just get a Toytek 1.5'' or 2'' AAL for cheap too.

I'd rather not add to my rusty crusty old leafs when i can replace them with bigger or better

    Just a personal preference

    That's a fair enough reasoning.

Second Pelican case in today. Maxtrax's are still on backorder, so it will probably be another two or three weeks to get them.

Also swapped out the ball handle pin for the T-handle pin on the latch side of my Pelfrey swingout so it's a lot easier to use, especially when the pin gets a little "sticky."

    Thanks Colin!

Box on the driver side has emergency stuff...MRE's, extra jacket, socks, boxers, shirt, pants, shoes, webbing and rope, and hand warmers. I have the other emergency stuff like fire extinguisher, gloves, medical gloves, CPR barrier mask, road flares, and traffic vest behind the rear driver side passenger seat, since it's better to have those things more on hand instead of in the box.

Box on the passenger side has all my recovery and camping stuff. ARB tree protector strap, Hi-Lift base, Ames E-tool shovel, camper's axe, ARB synthetic snatch block, bolt cutters, tow strap, (gonna upgrade to ARB snatch strap in the relatively near future) Reese 8'' drop hitch, shackles, and leather gloves.

Relocated the OEM reverse camera today to the license plate. Eventually I'd like to somehow put it on the right side in between the license plate indent and the Rigid lights for a more finished look, but this suits my needs right now.

The ideal location would be in the center hub of the spare tire, but I'm not sure if I want to drill a hole with all the gussets and studs that are there. There's not really a good way to route the wires either, unless I run the wire from the bottom of the tiregate by the spindle through the tiregate square tube up to the tire mount like me and Skygear initially discussed. It's always an option, but those are thoughts for down the road.

I realize it looks a little ghetto :anonymous: but I mainly just wanted to be able to see what was behind me below the tailgate.

Took maybe ten minutes. Just un-routed the wires from under the tailgate trim, back through to under the bed, ran the connecter through the OEM spare tire hole, and then attached the camera with a bolt and nut I had laying around.

We can make a bracket for that. I found more aluminum.

Yep...luckily I shouldn't get much hassle as I have firefighter plates. Will likely move the stickers to the bottom corners if I still have the camera there when the plate expires.

Yeah I thought about that, as the OEM camera slides out of the little angled bracket that it's in right now, but didn't want to do anything too crazy right now. Might start planning how to attach and make a bracket for it.
