To add on to this, the Coopers are actually 59 pounds. They published inaccurate weights.

Wow really? I'm surprised the Cooper's weigh more than KM2's at 55#.

Yeah I was really disappointed when I found out. Made the decision a whole lot harder.

Ideas for the next thing to spend money on that I shouldn't spend?

I have the awning and awning mounts for the roof rack next on the list but I don't see myself camping or anything in the near future so thinking about picking up something else a little more practical. Thinking battery or Duallies, but not sure.

I also want the SCS wheels but they're out of stock. I think I may just buy them the next time Matte Black is in stock since they go out pretty quickly and wouldn't know the next time they will be in. Then again, I don't really want to waste money mounting them on the tires that will need to be replaced in ~2 years. Could just store them :)

    PLANNED UPGRADES (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
    --- ARB 3110A Awning (4.1' x 6.8')
    --- BajaRack Awning Mount (5'')
    --- Fiskars X17 Splitting Axe
    --- Rigid Flood Dually Foglights
    --- Die-Hard 31M Battery
    --- (5) 255/85/R16 Tires (Undecided)
    --- (5) SCS F-5 Wheels (Matte Black)
    --- Airflow America (SO16) Snorkel ----- (Undecided)
    --- B.A.M.F Rear Diff Skidplate (1/4'') ----- (Undecided)
    --- Pelfreybilt Fold-Down Table ----- (Undecided)
--- TC Cam Tab Gussets ----- (Undecided)
--- Trasharoo Spare Tire Bag (Black) ----- (Undecided)
    --- TRD 4.0L V6 Supercharger ----- (Unknown)
--- Wet Okole F/R Seat Covers ----- (Undecided)

Also still have to do the following:

    • Scrape antenna mount paint, tune CB SWR
    • Re-paint all skidplates
    • Re-paint sliders
    • Touch up front and rear bumper paint
    • Re-grease and clean TC UCA's
    • Crank coilovers up and get new alignment
    • Assess and re-apply fluid film as needed
    • Visual inspection of all suspension parts
    • Check and re-torque lugnuts and suspension bolts as needed
    • Function check (all interior and exterior lights)
    • Function check (winch)
    • Check all fluids

    :)

I haven't seemed to have had to do anything to the actual uniballs besides spraying them out with water when they get crap in them. I have used the Bel Ray lube a couple times but I haven't heard them squeak even when they were dirty.

I do need to clean and re-grease the bushings though, I haven't done that since we installed the suspension about 10 months ago. :anonymous:

Probably going to take the TC stickers off the UCA when I do all this as well. Clean. :)

How is your fluid film holding up Matt?

Mine is covered in mud and salt. Its so slimy and nasty. I wish i'd just used paint or actual undercoating :(

Haven't really inspected it lately but the last time I looked at it (~month ago) it looked like it was keeping pretty much everything off the frame.

We just got hit with snow here and have been driving through a bunch of salt the past few days so I'll check again in the morning and let you know.

Did you do really heavy coats when you applied? Mine is not what I would call wet or greasy, just enough to have coverage. Maybe a heavier coat, the wetter it is, and thus attracts more dirt/salt?

    I only used two ;)

Just looked and it is still holding up well. Front frame looks great, and still has a slight film when I ran my hand over it. Rear frame still looks pretty good but it does seem to have collected a little more dirt and salt from everything getting kicked up and back though.

I went over my posts and pictures, looks like i used a little over 2.5 cans. Still have a half a can left. So i guess its just too thick on the rear half of the frame. I hope this spring and summer it all gets washed off in the rain storms so that i can coat it with something better.

    Thanks Matt.

I will probably wash as much of it off as I can once it gets warm and re-apply since I'm pretty happy with it on my end.

Got a lot of re-painting and small maintenance stuff to do though.

Yeah the picture I grabbed it from was in the shade so it looks a little darker.

I can't decide. Black looks a little meaner but gunmetal is more unique and doesn't just blend into the tire.

Bought myself a GoPro HERO and suction mount to try out as a dash cam, and because I've always wanted a GoPro :)

I had tried again to use my old iPhone with a dash cam app over the last few days but it's just not practical. iPhones aren't meant to record video for a long time and the quality is decent, but lacking.

It will also be cool to use on trails and such to record stuff.

They are def fun to mess with, you can mount them anywhere.

I took a trail ride from one water crossing to another with it under the bed. Cool to see that point of view.
