Thanks, you too! I've eyed your build before :spy:

The 885's are a little stiff but I guess these are trucks we are driving. Planning on upgrading to Toytec Coilovers/LR UCA's and Dakars/OME N182 in about 2-3 years when I need new tires.

I think I've read bad things about those toytec coilovers, but I might be wrong. I would like to do a mid travel set up some day. I'm happy for now though, until I load the bed and it squats because these leafs suck. I would like dakars, but I think they will give me too much lift and it will have too much rake, and I'll need to go 886s, then I will want to go with bigger tires. What a vicious circle! Maybe I'll win the lottery and go LT, but I suppose you have to play the lottery to win...

I really like the fact that they are adjustable, vs something like OME 90000's and OME 886's, but that also means they are preloaded.

I may look into getting some other adjustable coilovers like Icon's or Fox's, but I have no idea how their spring ratings and their different coilover options work because I haven't researched them enough. Like I said though, this is in like 2-3 years, so it is likely my plan will change 57 times

I usually buy one scratcher every time I get gas (keeps me from buying too many...) and I will often break even. Only $5 for the scratchers I get anyway.

I hear you, my plans change just about as often as my clothes. No lottery in my state, they must figure people blow enough money here in the casinos. Once when I was in Idaho I bought a few tickets, made 20 bucks, and bought some megamillion tickets or whatever they are.
Looking forward to the future changes, what ever they may be!

Cleaned up my build today; separated my current pictures and modification list from my modification pictures into two posts to make it easier to read, as well as putting some borders around the pictures to make them look a little better.

Hopefully getting my OTTRAW switch for my lightbar mounted and wired within a week or two, but who knows. Thinking about telling the shop to mount it in the same location as the 4WD switch but on the passenger side. I had thought about the center console by the cupholder, but I'm afraid I might accidentally hit it a lot.

Any pics of your truck straight from the side? Would like to see the stance and look of tires with lift.

I'll try and get a better one for you, but I haven't taken a good side picture lately because I can't seem to find any damn level ground.

These are probably the best I have right now, and as you can see, (or not see) I do have a rake. The bumper brought my front lift down to maybe around 2-2.5'', whereas my rear has probably about 3'' of lift, but the rear is already higher stock from Toyota.

It's not too bad unless the truck is on level ground and you really pay attention to it, but I have come to like having some rake for when I haul stuff.

Yeah, I'll try and find some level ground tomorrow to get a picture for you while I'm out and about.

Just a FYI, this picture is a day or two after I got the lift installed. I haven't really noticed much settling in the lift height in the rear, although it may have gone down maybe a 0.5'' to 1''.

Here ya go. This was taken on a slight decline, (lower grade towards the front of the truck) but it was pretty level.

WRAPPED DOOR HANDLES WITH 550 CORD

Wrapped my door handles with 550 cord to match my A-Pillar handles yesterday. Might get my lightbar switch mounted in a week or two, just have been too lazy to go up to the local shop for a install.

Matt, I am looking at tool boxes and trying to decide if I need to get the bigger box or I can get away with the skinny one like you have. How much stuff could you fit in there?

When I had it on, I could fit a good amount of stuff. It worked for me and the stuff I carried in the box; I do also have the luxury of the DC storage compartments to help with space, unlike the AC you have. The pictures are not the greatest, but it might give you an idea of what it really looks like inside. The work gloves are also a good indicator of how wide it is on the inside of the box. Since you have the long bed, I would honestly say go for a larger box if you do have a lot of stuff you want to keep in there.

Mine is still for sale

i think i could get by with the smaller one, just kills me to pay over 100 more for a couple more inches of space. all id really keep in it is some ratchet straps, some offroad straps, tire repair kit, zip ties, few hundred feet of paracord, tire gauge, some water and mres for emergencies, small tarp, jumper cables, and some hi lift accessories. maybe a couple other things but thats basically it. would prefer to save the money and go with this one if i could

I would sell mine for $125 if you came nearby and picked it up. :playball: It's just got that rubbing / opening issue on one corner I've talked to you about.

And I think for what you plan to store, the smaller box would be ok. I tested mine before I took it off my truck and a 48'' Hi-Lift will actually fit. The Hi-Lift offroad base also fits, both laying flat and also against the edge standing up, although it is pretty tight.
