Sometimes my truck annoys me as it is pretty impractical for DD'ing, especially since 99% of the time, I'm the only one in the vehicle, but then I have the couple times a year where my truck comes into its own. One of my biggest pet peeves is not being prepared for something. That's why I spend the money on quality products like the Maxtrax's and Warn winch, instead of cheaping out and getting something questionable for a cheaper cost. I love being able to help people who are in a bad spot, and having everything from a fire extinguisher, to snatch straps, to extra clothes/food/money, to a winch, to everything else I carry in the truck allows me to solve pretty much any issue with my vehicle or someone's else's. Just happy with how my truck performed in this snowpocalypse and how well it allowed me to help other people out.

5,000th post on TW! Can't believe I've been on here for almost five years now. This forum is so great. I've met people on here that I would've never met in real life and they will drop everything to help you when you need it and not expect anything in return, and I would do the same for other members. TacomaWorld really exemplifies paying it forward, a concept that seems to be lost on most people these days. Some people think they should get money or food or services in return for helping other people. I think they don't understand that everyone gets in a bad spot at least once in their life, whether it be from financial issues or something like getting their car stuck, and we all could do with a little more kindness between strangers. I used to be more angry at the world and people in it, judging others for things they can't control, road raging, and other nonsense like that. I think people need to understand that every person you see has their own extensive and individual life, with their own experiences, friends, family, and opinions. I've gotten a lot better at just taking a deep breath and allowing myself to understand that everyone fucks up at one point or another...this is big with not succumbing to road rage.

Long winded post but just wanted to say some of that stuff.

"We judge others by their actions, but we judge ourselves by our intentions"

Good deed for the day done ...Indian lady had a flat tire so I u-turned and went to help her, she had no idea how to change a tire or even where her spare was. At first, she didn't even know she had a flat...I went up to her window and asked if she needed help and she just said her car started wobbling, so I had to tell her she had a flat lol...it was a Prius, which has a terrible tire iron tool to use the jack (it was just bending) but luckily another lady in a Tacoma pulled over and let me use her tire iron tools. So I was changing the tire and got to the point of taking the flat off but the wheel bearing had rusted and seized to the wheel...took me about 10 minutes of fucking with it, so I just lowered the car down just barely down on the wheel with no lug nuts and it broke free. Jacked it back up and changed the tire. She was very thankful and had me write down my contact info :spy: She was telling me she had never met anyone with such kindness, which kind of just depressed me :) since it should be a normal thing for people to pull over and help anyone stranded on the road.

I think most people wouldn't take a second glance at her sitting on the side of the road, which I think is a real problem with our society/culture.

Also I'm going to put my stock tire tools back in the truck just in case I have to help anyone else in that situation...I took mine out because I use four way tire iron now but I want to be able to help other people with better tools.

Good job Matt. I would be a little cautious of doing that though, I could see people calling the police on you thinking you were there to carjack them.

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not on here near as much as I used to be. We are doing well. Just trying to keep up on chores around the house (the list seems endless). Don't really have the money to do much to my truck anymore. I did buy a block heater and tranny heater. The 6 speed doesnt like these cold mornings (15 or below). Hopefully those I will get around to installing this weekend :fingerscrossed:

Anyone got recommendations for a replacement battery of either stock size or slightly larger? I know you can get away with a 31 like the DieHard's without a cage, but I'd rather just have a newer battery that is slightly larger without a cage. I don't think I need a real large battery like the 31.

For a battery I recommend getting some type of AGM battery. They're often more expensive, but talk to @3378jakesr5 about Deka batteries.

The stock replacement size. The CCA is slightly lower the the duralast gold, but I figure the agm makes up for that. Especially since I don't daily the truck anymore.

If you order anything from advance auto online, use coupon code TRT30. It never expires. Minimum order has to be $50, and the maximum amount to be saved is $50.

Is stock 26? 28? I can look it up but was curious if you knew it off the top of your head.
