Selling my RSI SmartCap for 3rd Gen long bed. Comes with AluCab cross bars installed.

This is an Evo Sport model. The driver side gul wing has been swapped out for the Evo Adventure door with molle panel.

    $2,050 OBO
(~45% off retail -- not including the crossbars)

Located in Cleveland, willing to meet within 1hr of Downtown for sale/install.

Can meet the buyer to help transfer the cap to your truck, but it needs a minimum of 4 people to move safely.

Blemishes (aka why it's priced lower than usual):
    • Small nick in the paint above the rear door (picture in post below)
    • Hole in the center top panel (picture in post below) from a canoe that went airborne during a road trip

Here are pics of the topper mounted up, I will add pics of the previously mentioned blemishes tomorrow.

    With Evo A door installed:

    The canoe in question:

Any ideas on estimates that you got on getting the hole on the roof repaired?

Haven't gotten any quotes on the repair. If this doesn't sell I'll just DIY the work and hammer it into shape, weld the gap, grind it flat, and hit it with a rattle can. But I'd prefer to sell the cap and get extra vertical cargo space.

Going to a shop I'd imagine the repair would be around a couple hundred bucks, unless you also had them paint the repair (I'd rattle can it myself.)

Put a small roof vent on it and call it a day

Yeah, but...how did you get your truck in/out of that parking spot in the top pic?

I'm so proud of that parking job.

    To answer the question, though:

Thankfully by the time I left, both cars had already gone so the truck could just pull straight out.

How much adjustment is on the crossbars? How much weight can it hold? Thanks.

Adjustment as in forward/backward? If that's what you mean they can both move almost the entire length of the canopy due to the tracks running along the top.

RSI says the canopy can hold 330# dynamic (while driving) load and 770# static (while parked.)

AluCab says the bars can hold 485# standing load.

Ah. Thank you so much. We have a RTT I would potentially use. I like the cap idea for stealthy solo camping. ;). Hmmmmmm. No to ponder

So, with the adventure door, the only operable window to get fresh air is on the passenger side?

    thanks,

While driving, yes. Good for about one dogs snout to poke out.

Parked, of course you could open any of the doors wide. I haven't used this for camping yet, but since there's no screen on the sliding window I would just open the whole door wide for better airflow anyway. The sliding window only seems sufficient to keep pets from heat exhaustion while traveling, and not so much airflow/comfort while parked.
