    15 minutes job, super easy.
This has been done 1000 times, probably just as many write ups

If my truck doesn’t have it already is it still plug n play?

Yeah like OP states is super easy plug n play swap. One of the best upgrades I put on my 07. Only thing you might need to complete this is the piece of plastic that goes under steering wheel. It has to come off to put Cruise Control switch in but if truck didn’t already come with it, the piece of plastic won’t have a hole in it for cruise switch to stick out. You will either have to find the plastic piece off of another truck or cut it out on your current piece of plastic. But other than that it’s all plug n play. Hope this helps you some.

    Yes, thanks @sju350
If you decide to replace the little plastic piece the part number is:
    45186-0C020-B1 2005-11
    45186-04030-B0 2012-15

    I'd do it, it's only $5
