    SOLD

Now that I've moved from my OEM rear axle housing to an aftermarket replacement, the BAMF Rear Diff Skid I picked up from Jerry no longer fits.

Looks like he's not making them for 1st gens anymore, so this is a collector's item.

At the time I picked it up, it was sold as the strongest, tightest fitting diff skid on the market for the Tacoma platform with a total loss of ground clearance of no more the 1/4", and I'd say that's all still true today.

    Fits e-locker housing.

    $375+shipping

So I have an Eaton E-locker in my 8.4" rear end. You think this would fit?

Well, there's the obvious drain plug hole which is on the wrong side, so you'd need to cut/drill another one to clear your drain. As far as mounting up to the third, seems like it should be fine, but :notsure:.

@JLee might be able to let us know if the drain is the only issue...

Okay thanks for the reply. Might have to compare my rear axle to my buddy's '98 with the 8.0". I believe the drain plug is on the passenger side for both though.

Just curious if the diameter of the axle tubes differ enough to not let this bolt up.

Axle tubes are the same, so that won't be an issue; I'm pretty sure the drain hole is the only difference, unless there's some difference in the shape of the 3rd due to the locker...

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
It should mount up if you drill another hole for the drain plug. We never made one for the 8.4 on the 1st gen but I'm pretty sure that's the only difference.
