Sold it

Expect these prices for the next two years. Chip suppliers are expected to take that long to fill the backlog of all the companies requiring chips that are needed in vehicles/cell phones/etc. I work at a car dealership, best advice would be to take advantage your used vehicle value to buy new. All used prices are through the @#$* roof and will stay that way until new inventory can get bloated again....

 

The best advice would be to sell and buy some boring used vehicle like a 1983 Chevy Caprice until this all blows over.

 

Dealership listed the 2021 SX they bought from me $1k under sticker with 6mo age and 6k miles on the clock. Not as insane as some people have gotten, but I was happy with my trade-in price and am using it toward a newer 2021 Sport upgrade, win win.

 

Two weeks ago I saw a Chevy Baretta going down the road, and this was in the rust belt.

They must have really taken care of this car.

 

I think most of those ended up in the crusher before they were ten years old

I'm pretty sure that Days of Thunder helped sell a lot of Corsicas and Berettas.

The smarter people were buying Accords and Preludes at that time

 

Careful-you might just fall in love with the Prius. My wife got a 2012 V and it's awesome. I was shooting at my friend's house one day and was able to put my dog in the Prius and run the AC for her for 30+ minutes before the engine ever ran. They have some pretty neat perks.
